The DNC fully supports ACORN yet attacks McHenry over his objections to a Constitutional issue involving policy makers not vetted by Congress. It sounds like to me that EVERY one needs to start doing the right, legal, and moral things starting NOW! The DNC supported President Clinton over his affairs in the WH and his lies about what he did. Does that make it right for another President to do it, NO of course not. The DNC needs to clean up it's own act before it starts attacking a Congressman who has been open , honest, and lawful.

WAIT, wait...run this by me one more time:

W's (36) czars, Clinton's czars, Bush's czars, Reagan's czars, etc. were all right, but President Obama's czars are different because_____________________... .

If anyone can fill in the blank with a tenable distinction, please enlighten me.

Otherwise, I have to agree that not only is McHenry a hypocrite, he is also an idiot determined to waste everyone's time. I think the comments below, supporting McHenry's position, indicate that those commenters are in the same boat.

McHenry is right. Those 47 czars appointed by Bush without Senate approval were different.

Everything changed after 9/11. Now the President is a black man.

Curious little item in the real estate transactions listed in last week’s Charlotte Business Journal, which I now repeat verbatim:

James B. Sr. and Betty C. Black to The Wake County Board of Education, Facilities Building 1551 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, 27610, metes and bounds Town of Matthews Morningstar Township PIN 193 43 201/202, $500,000.

The property in question is actually two vacant parcels on Rice Rd., one of eight acres, the other just over an acre. Together they have a tax value of under $140,000. A 6.5 acre parcel across the street sold for $37,500 in 2002, to a concern controlled by Black’s son.

I had assumed, incorrectly it turns out, that the Matthews property mentioned in news accounts of the May deal was Black’s property in downtown Matthews, along John and Charles Streets, a collection valued at around $450,000. Not until I plugged in the parcel ID number from the notice was it clear that Black gave up perhaps $125K worth of vacant land to settle a $500K fine while holding onto at least $2 million worth of other property.

No cheeze to go with Black's whine. He did the crimes and deserves to do ALL of the time. He chose his own poison when he broke the law.

Black needs to stay in prison until his term is up.

He decided to do the crime.......no one forced him.

He can die and rot there and he still wouldn't pay his debt in full for his betrayal of the public trust.

MLK4662---it's interesting that everyone else but you talks about taxes, deficits, spending---yet you are the one injecting race into the discussion.Is that because if you don't have facts to state, you have to raise an emotional issue to try to justify your position?

With the budget deficits reaching 4-5X the previous record deficit, with the Treasury weekly setting records of new bond issues to pay for his runaway spending, with unemployment continuing to hit double digits despite his record spending, with his totally ineffectual approach to IRAN and North Korea, weeksgroove I'm sure you're very proud of Team Obama's accomplishments.Unfortunately, these records of Obama are quickly bankrupting the US.Other than destroying Chrysler and Government Motors bailing out AIG and FNMA & FREDDIE which the Democrats caused to have problems by pushing mortgages to people who couldn't afford them, is there anything really positive for our economy you can point to?? I can understand why you're sick---you obviously voted for him, and now it's tough to face the truth that you made a HUGE mistake, but there's lots more with you.

Obama's policies are begining to catch up with his personality cult. Expect his polls to continue to decline. He will not be able to blame Bush much longer. He said unemployemnt would never exceed 10% and his stimulus bill was supposed to save the economy. Neither were correct.
