Not really. While there is definitely a collection of hard core Libertarian voters, in polls, people who respond for the Libertarian are generally dissatisfied Republicans lodging a protest vote.

Almost all of them will come back around and vote R. Especially if the race is close.

One poll does not mean the race is tightening. If Civitas and PPP's results in the next 2 weeks show a 5 point race, then we can make an assumption that it has.

Everyone knows there is no way Cole is going to get 7% of the vote. Bump him back down to 2% and give that 5% back to Dole and she's right back up by 10 -- just about where she's been in every other poll.

What's more noteworthy is Hagan can't crack the low 40s, while Dole is consistently around 50. Until that changes, nothing has changed in this race.

Wake me up when Hagan polls above 45.

Mrs. Dole can wrap it up by announcing her intent sponsor a bill to END all federal fuel/gasoline TAXES, and mandating that states do the same.

we'll see about the Dems. poker game....they haven't put any money on the table yet-- all talk and bluff and Dole is wasy ahead of Hagan compared to other Dems Senate races nationwide--- and that's where the $s will go in the end.

This so-called "poll" is without merit. The "institute" is just another arm of the republican party spreading their propaganda. It must not be believed. Any poll with a margin of error over 3 percentage points is not valid. You learn that in any first year Political Science class.

Or perhaps the citizens of NC realize that rhetoric and half truths are not what we need and are siding with Dole, who at least can present her record straight unlike Hagan on her immigration.

This is the second or third poll in a row showing dole gaining support across almost every segment of the democratic electorate. if the party, obama, the national dems or whoever doesn't come in and help out Sen Hagan, she's going to be crushed. Time and momentum are slipping away every week.
