Josh Stein is one of the brightest and most ethical state Senators we have in NC. Sen. Stein spent many years in the Attorney General's office working on behalf of NC consumers. BitterEXdemocrat's comments say nothing at all about Sen. Stein but do reflect an inability to evaluate any individual on any criterion apart from their political affiliation.

Except that, Josh, many people are now disgusted with NC democrackkks running the show...'we' didnt accomplish much of ANYTHING this year, except dupe the people into more and more taxation without representation.

When Tim has more money, Tim makes more sense, and Tim appeals to neither Under the DOME or DC press even though he has raised more money as a real angry TeaBagger than the marketing tool of superficial packaging created by the NRCC?

This post has been up all day and has yet to be corrected. Kissell won his seat in 2008, not 2006, he ran in 2006 and lost. Ben Niolet do you actually read the comments section?

Horse hockey.......they knew as well as anyone who had the capability to read and understand the printed word that while they were campaigning that things were bad and getting worse. Like all political whores they decided to use the same old "the people" rhetoric that political whores have used in perpetuity to further their phony/baloney existence.

Stupidity on behalf on behalf of elected officials and voters does not constitute an emergency on my part.

The election data does not support a straight-party ticket argument for Boseman's success. It may in fact be the opposite.

New Hanover County (Boseman's district) went for McCain, Hagan, Perdue, and Pittenger. I stopped checking after Lt. Gov.

Obviously, McCain was not on the straight party ticket, but that doesn't explain away how Pittenger won the county, yet Boseman did too.

My initial comment was meant as snark at the continuing personal attacks on Boseman. They were well-publicized and didn't stick before the election. I'm not sure what's gained by such attacks now.

Cornbread...you just hit the nail on the head. They voted for her through sheer ignorance. That is essentially what "straight ticket" voting allows. I am a die-hard conservative and voted for Roy Cooper based on his experience and my personal liking. Dumbing down America's electoral system, whereas, people like Boseman are elected strictly because she has a D beside her name. Perhaps we should do away with all affiliations on the ballot and make the citizenry do their research before they vote for people. Kinda like the judges races NC. Straight ticket voting is the same as rascism...you are judged based by the letter by your name instead of your credentials.

cornbread unfortunately there are people that vote straight ticket regardless of the consequences.
