can we OUTLAW the 2 dominant oppressive parties, democrackkk and republicannots and require ALL candidates they MUST RUN as UNaffiliated?
Shutting these UNnecessary 'parties' down will help restore freedom back to our state.

The Republicans definitely do not need to fence anyone out. However, they might consider building some fences to keep some in. Parts of the Berlin Wall are on sale at eBay. These days it is all about broadening your base and being less base.

Independent voters and disgruntled conservatives don't need to kowtow to the Republican Party bosses. Nor do disaffected liberals and progressive have to acquiesce to the Democratic Party's abandoning of their interests.

There is a political party that can represent their views -- the Libertarian Party. Libertarians have no interest in limiting or restricting anyone's right to vote for the person of their choice, regardless of party affiliation. In fact, we don't think the State has any right to say who can form a political party, or dictate how they operate.

Re: House, Senate honor Helms

So you're suggesting we feed all Republicans to hogs? Yikes!! are there enough left to do the hogs any good? and would they, the hogs, even want to eat the Republicans?
My question on this topic is simple: if Sen. Helms is being honored for "standing up for his principles" isn't that just what Sen. Boseman is doing as well?

Julia postures a lot.

She got into some really hot water with the black population in New Hanover County during the last run for the roses because of her use of a certain "verboten" word that would have had a Republican drawn, quartered, and fed to the hogs.

I suspect she still has some pretty good sized political debts to pay before she makes full restitution and gets final absolution from The Wilmington Journal.

Actually, it appears the bill isn't called the Schiavo Act anymore. The short title now reads "Advanced Directives on Drivers License." Seems like a logical improvement.

Why not go further and put some medical history on licenses. Like allergies to certain drugs like penicillin. The barcode on the back can carry a lot of info.

As expected, as soon as things got bad, the lottery money will be redirected to wasted social welfare projects. North Carolina does NOT have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. Cut out the waste and stop giving benefits to illegal aliens and almost all the problems go away.

Is Senator Eddie Goodall in Jail yet?

Under a state law passed in 2007, no item with a "likeness of any seal or coat of arms of the Senate" may be sold by a private individual.

In addition, the state's ethics law prohibits legislators from asking, accepting or soliciting "anything of value" in exchange for official actions.

Quite curious if laws apply to him too.

There's an old adage that goes: within every joke there is an element of truth. State Senator this isn't funny.

No.

Do you suppose Goodall is wishing he hadn't opened Pandora's box?

He's one of the few remaining Republicans in NC looking for oxygen.

I bet he wishes he'd changed parties, not that he'd not done this stupid stunt. This stupid stunt is par for the course of his party of low oxygen and more of the same (now with exclamation points)!
