Jordan almost defeated Jim Black.

Wow. Which game did he almost win in? Horseshoes, hand-grenades, losing hair pre-maturely or trying to get the people that know him best to vote for him in a local election against a really bad guy?

Who is the pre-maturely bald guy Alex?

I wish I could say Hal would come in 7th in a 5-man primary, but they keep coming out of the woodwork, so I have no idea how bad he's going to lose this time.

Have you heard about the old retired Colonel that got swamped by some lady named Maggie Dickson in his last run for public office? I hear the NRCC won't give anyone like Hal the time of day now. This Colonel guy who lost his last election, was a COLONEL!

And we all know those grunt voters and veterans that live near Fort Bragg love Colonels. Retired Colonel's really get it!

Stellar insight as always, Gigglebox. But just a couple of points about Hal Jordan...

For one, anybody who has the same name as the Green Lantern shouldn't be ashamed.

For two, Jordan almost defeated Jim Black, author of the Democrats' Book of Virtues, in that hellishly gerrymandered district in 2006, which if you'll remember, was the year that ACORN had all of their buses running on time. So I'm figuring he'll finish at least 4th.

BTW, why won't "Hal" (if that is his real name) admit he's a REPUBLICAN on his website?

Shame perhaps?

Also, loaning yourself $300 grand to prove a point to Mike Steele (the African American head of the new and improved and slick GOP) just makes the whole 5-guy Republican "primary" (where your party already made the black guy an NRCC Young Gun) kinda a formality.

Tim D'Crazio is your frontrunner in spite of what Mike Steele sez. "Hal," a close 5th.
