Can anyone tell us WHY Chelsea Clinton attended church services at a predominately WHITE church on Sunday in Asheville, instead of the usual
democrat SOP of visiting a BLACK church?

wizard 101, it isn't just the political machines run by Kennedy and Kerry.

Check out Obama's finances at http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Barack_Obama/Campaign_Financing

It looks like a lot of communications companies have given a lot of money to his campaigns, and oil companies, and finance companies, and insurance companies. How can he say he doesn't take special interest money when he's taking all that money from company owners and executives and lobbyists?

And that article in the LA Times suggests that Obama is not as clean as his claims to not taking any PAC money suggests too.

Will someone please ask him about the report today in the LA times? It looks like he was taking money in return for his recommendation that Illinois taxpayers fund something a businessman named Blackwell wanted done, to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars, and didn't disclose the conflict of interest on his Illinois State Legislature conflict of interest forms.

Read the article at www.latimes.com -- click on the politics section if they don't have the headline on the front page.

I know North Carolina has basically made its mind up for their candidate of choice - I voted early for my candidate as well - I am a senior citizen African American and I voted for the only candidate of hope and change - wrong - I voted for HILLARY CLINTON - for those that have been told there was no way to obtain their hopes and dreams - Hillary Clint is a symbolic figure of both hopes and dreams.

I have followed the Clintons for decades as they were helping our black community with homeless shelters and jobs from California to Mississippi - Bill was just recently in New Orleans with Brad Pitt to help reconstruct taht wonderful city - Hillary herself did a rally there even though New Orleans did not give her the vote - Obama was too busy with his campaign - guess he already got his votes.

Obamas WORDS of change in Washington DC of the old style politics does not ring true - why then accept the endorsements of old time politicans such as Kerry and Kennedy -

Taxes - well the economists say if his capital gain tax goes through - the rich will get richer and the poor will get more taxes taken out -

I wish my younger brothers and sisters in North Carolina could see what I have seen in the last many years - the race issue is being driven by our own people not the Clintons - and they say race is an issue - 80 to 90 % of our own people are voting for Obama - even my own relatives and neighbors are voting black - I say vote conscience and what is best for us all - NO ONE IS GOING TO GIVE ANYONE A FREE RIDE regardless of color.

GOD BLESS OUR AMERICA

Today's over-the-top rant by Rep. Clyburn just finished me off. I'm a progressive democrat Clinton supporter, and I don't appreciate being called a racist and threatened with riots in Denver. Obama expects to be coronated and any opposition must be racist - it can't possibly be that we think he's an inexperienced phony who will win only Illinois in November.

Many people are taking Wright's speeches and replacing the word "black" by "white". If the result sounds Ku Klux Klannish, people are deducing that Wright is racist. The footage is extremely powerful. It will undoubtedly do some damage not only to Obama but also to the North Carolina statesmen who are associated with him.

The reactions of voters will probably set off chain reactions of resentment. But it may be the beginning of a process of true progress in race relations because the problem will be on the table.

There is another problem, however, which is even more pernicious: Sexism. While African Americans may observe that no one of their minority has ever been president, women also observe that no one of their MAJORITY has ever been president. Black women have begun to realize that they are members of this under-represented majority and I really think that this change will really begin to show in North Carolina.

As an American woman living in France, I am trying to follow the election on internet and cannot locate statistics for North Carolina more recent than April 16. Yet I know the figures have changed from Obama up 13% to something much closer. I'd like to warn North Carolina citizens that I honestly have the impression that internet is being manipulated.

My native state of Pennsylvania resisted the huge ad campaign by the Obama committee. I hope you will also get hard information on what the candidate has done to get an idea what kind of president the candidate will become.

Indiana: Former Obama Supporter Stumps for Hillary

Indiana: Former Obama Supporter Stumps for Hillary

Alice Palmer is campaigning for Hillary Clinton today in Indiana:

Joining Chelsea Clinton and other women leaders to campaign for Hillary Clinton today is Alice Palmer, the former state senator who picked Obama to be her successor back in the mid-90s. When she tried to reclaim her spot, though, Obama got her booted from the ballot.

Her story is an interesting one, since it shows how Obama plays hardball:

Fresh from his work as a civil rights lawyer and head of a voter registration project that expanded access to the ballot box, Obama launched his first campaign for the Illinois Senate saying he wanted to empower disenfranchised citizens.

But in that initial bid for political office, Obama quickly mastered the bare-knuckle arts of Chicago electoral politics. His overwhelming legal onslaught signaled his impatience to gain office, even if that meant elbowing aside an elder stateswoman like Palmer.

A close examination of Obama's first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career: The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it.

Bottom line: How did he win his first Senate seat? By challenging his opponents' right to be on the ballot and succeeding, so he could run unopposed.

As to Alice Palmer:

Palmer served the district in the Illinois Senate for much of the 1990s. Decades earlier, she was working as a community organizer in the area when Obama was growing up in Hawaii and Indonesia. She risked her safe seat to run for Congress and touted Obama as a suitable successor, according to news accounts and interviews.

But when Palmer got clobbered in that November 1995 special congressional race, her supporters asked Obama to fold his campaign so she could easily retain her state Senate seat.

Obama not only refused to step aside, he filed challenges that nullified Palmer's hastily gathered nominating petitions, forcing her to withdraw.

"I liked Alice Palmer a lot. I thought she was a good public servant," Obama said. "It was very awkward. That part of it I wish had played out entirely differently."

He took four candidates off the ballot with his challenges:

"He wondered if we should knock everybody off the ballot. How would that look?" said Ronald Davis, the paid Obama campaign consultant whom Obama referred to as his "guru of petitions."

In the end, Davis filed objections to all four of Obama's Democratic rivals at the candidate's behest.

How he later justified it:

he defended his use of ballot maneuvers: "If you can win, you should win and get to work doing the people's business."

This is a unity candidate and candidate for a new kind of politics in Washington?

Gallup Daily
Obama LOST

Gallup Daily

Obama LOST Pennsylvania by a huge 9.4 points, basically 55 to 45 percent of the vote. Now that's a win anyone would be happy to have in a presidential race. (And Obama continues his losing streak, losing in every large Democratic stronghold state, except his own state of Illinois.)

Hillary has gained on Obama every day for the past four days -- ever since the Pennsylvania primary.

And, according to the Gallup poll, Hillary in now statistically EVEN with Obama nationally.

Also, according to the Gallup poll (based on interviews with 4,410 national registered voters), McCain would beat Obama 46% to 45% , but Hillary would beat McCain 47% to 45%.

------------------------------------------------------------
*Gallup Daily: Obama and Clinton Tied at 48% to 47%*

Clinton’s increased support has mainly come from undecided voters
Interactive electoral map pulldown..Interesting take

It's becoming abundantly clear that Obama is a disaster in the
making. SDs are starting to notice that if he gets the nomination, he wouldn't win any of the swing states and might even lose traditional Dem strongholds like CA and MA. That puts him in the same league
as Humphrey, McGovern, Mondale and Dukakis. Go to this interactive
electoral map and have fun with the Select the Year pulldown just above the map.

Shouldn't someone ask Obama the following questions when he comes to North Carolina?

Shouldn't Barack Obama work to change the Anti-White preaching in his own church before he has the audacity to hope for anyone's vote?

Why did Obama expose his daughters to the Anti-White/Victimization Ideology of Black Liberation Theology?

How many times can a person hear about the "White Oppressors" before he begins believing that, as Rev. Wright described America, the "US of KKK-A" owes him - big time?

Visit the web site that Obama and the Superdelegates who support Obama do not want voters to read. Learn why Obama cannot beat Sen. McCain at: http://www.AudacityofHypocrisy.com/

hillbilly, you forgot to mention that the rally was held in a 2500 seat thomas wolfe auditorium. probably could have filled the civic center if they chose to. didnt see anything of an angry greeting mentioned in the paper, did you leave your cave long enough to toss "strive to smarter" outside the civic center.
