Kudos to these kids. They have obviously been reading the News & Observer about all the covert activites happening in state government. "I don't remember" seems the mantra of all those involved in the investigation. So a few extra points might be in order since some kids can't remember test information.

These kids are only putting into practice what they see the adults doing. No harm there. What is good for the goose should be good for the gander. These kids deserve an "A" in civics.

It takes a village.

It doesn't, huh? Just a garage in the backyard and box that talks to God.

See you on Nancy Grace.

These children are the future of North Carolina politics. How enterprising these youngsters are! They will go far in North Carolina politics. Selling grades is a new twist in "pay to play." I'm sure the politicians are already trying to recruit these youngsters. It is important to teach 'em young.

It takes a village.

Re: Kissell gets the 'Biden treatment'

LET THE GENERALS FIGHT THE WAR
Why I say - Pull the troops out of Afghanistan, now!
By Tim D’Annunzio for Congress 8th District NC
timvote.com

I have a copy of the McChrystal report, and it clearly lays out the changes needed for victory in Afghanistan. The Obama administration is vacillating on this war, while trying to calculate what impact it will have on their domestic socialization agenda. Secretary Gates refuses to stand against the political pressures and the Republican leadership seems willing to let the current administration flounder at home and abroad.

The truth is that Obama used Afghanistan as a straw-man argument during the election. He wanted to appear strong on national defense and only opposed the “unjustified” war in Iraq.

We have seen how quickly Obama shifted policies on Iraq. After taking office he quickly changed strategy on a defined timetable for withdrawal. Of course nothing had changed on the ground, his shift in position came after he began to deal in reality and not in political posturing.

I would assert that his new Iraq strategy came at a time when his approval ratings were high and he thought his charisma would overcome any negative repercussions he might face in reversing his previously stated position.

Now his Afghan straw-man has come to life and the charisma bank is almost insolvent. He needs his remaining resources of good-will to finish his domestic agenda of destroying the current US system. His priority has always been destroying this country and replacing it with a long desired leftist-socialist-utopia.

If he agrees to more troops in Afghanistan – as is needed – the US will achieve victory, but he will offend his base, which wants the US to lose. If he refuses the troop increase, he won’t offend his base, he keeps the support for his domestic agenda, but he will further stir up the opposition.

The longer we do nothing in Afghanistan, the more dangerous it becomes for the troops. I say Obama’s inability to make the hard decision is reason enough to pull the plug. If he can’t do the right thing and let the generals make war, we should call for an immediate withdrawal.

The politically safe thing for Obama is to leave the troops in place and do nothing. The politically safe thing for the Republican leadership to do is nothing except call for Obama to implement General McChrystal’s plan. Both of these have their priorities wrong because they use our soldiers in the field as political pawns and subordinate them to political agendas.

I say give the Commanders in the field everything they ask for and thereby enabling them to achieve victory. If the Obama Administration refuses, I would call for an immediate withdrawal of all troops; and I don’t care about the politics of it.

My conclusion is that the Obama administration and my Congressional opponent, Larry Kissell are using our troops as political pawns and refuse to make the hard, but right, decision. This is why I say, “Pull the troops out of Afghanistan, now!”

From the Raleigh News & Observer a quote from Kissell when asked for his position.
http://projects.newsobserver.com/under_the_dome/kissell_gets_the_biden_treatment

“"I don't want to be prejudging, or presuming anything," said Kissell, a member of the House Armed Services committee whose district includes part of Fort Bragg.”

This piece also says that Biden and therefore the Obama Administration have decided to help Kissell in his battle against me.

Give the generals what they need to achieve victory. If not, pull the troops out now. This isn’t and shouldn’t be about politics or political battles.

"But key voting blocs, including state workers and many service workers, are represented by labor groups such as the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU. Labor groups have organized rallies, town hall meetings, phone banks and advertising in support of health-care reform."

Are you sure about this? I thought it was the insurance companies who were busing these mobs in from out-of-town.

Looks like Miller-Democrat is for sale. Looks like the Unions are "manufacturing" support to destroy the best healthcare this world has.

If you want a representative for the 13th district that is not a screw up like Miller is. When it comes to the MASSIVE debt that Miller has voted for then BILL RANDALL-Republican is your candidate.

Let's see...........you can be an illegal (oh, excuse me, UNDOCUMENTED) immigrant, supposedly wanted by ICE, BUT welcomed with open arms and pay out of state tuition. WONDERFUL!! Only in America. I suppose that soon, the Board idiots will come up with some stupid plan to allow all the terrorists at GITMO to somehow become eligible for free college paid by the taxpayers.

Hagan's Roundtable on Healthcare

Hagan July 2009 FEC report

Seems that without the Huffington Post doing the dirty work for the N&O, no investigative research gets done...

A simple FEC search shows that Hagan must have had a recent event with Healthcare Lobbyist...oh my!

Not saying I mind because Hagan has been standing up for North Carolinians in this debate, but just pointing out my original point that this is a norm in DC!

Yes they are CO. And those are called parties.

This, however, was called a "Roundtable on Healthcare Issues" in DC with limited seating. They're paying to play on policy, not eat peanuts and drink Pepsi.

nice try bnartist, but my entire family attended and I'm DEFINITELY NOT on a Friends of Tom Fetzer list.

Do you really think tomorrow's audience will not be loaded with "friends" of Kay Hagan, David Price, Bob Ethridge, Dumpling, Basnight, Miller, Rand (can I stop now?). Even you aren't THAT naive, are you? I still wonder if Eliz Edwards will make a grand entrance. Your sources tell you anything on her yet?

Sure, in true Dem/Lib fashion there will be a photo op sampling of the usual 5-6 "Victims R Us" set up where the camera can show'em on cue. That's smart politics and no one ever accused Dems of not being clever politicians and media managers. I just wish my folks were half as good at "politics".

You gonna be there bnartist?

Bush's Raleigh town hall may have been free but tickets were not freely available and it was not open to all. The event was arranged by Tom Fetzer and tickets distributed primary through the NC GOP and the offices of Republicans Dole and Burr.

"Fundraisers" are always limited to those who "pay" to attend. That's how they got the name "fundraisers". Both parties have them all the time. A prominent Democrat matron inside the beltline has hosted numerous such private soirees for Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Edwards, et al.

I'm sure "prominent local Democrats" like Gigglebox are always invited to attend. Right "Giggle"?

Bush's "Town Hall" on Social Security several years ago was at Memorial Audit and absolutely FREE and open to the public and Media. It was packed. I was there as were all the little pointy-teethed boys from the N&O.

Darn those pesky "facts".
