Was this the guy that sent Burr to take credit for that new Obama Stimulus fire station Burr voted against?

Paul Shumaker? Is that his name? He started Carolina Strategy Group, right?

How's that going? About like Burr's campaign?

Burr accepts in-kind for poll he rejects

Huh.

That's odd.

"I think it's ridiculous to go through hypothetical head-to-heads," Burr said.

"The next election is not even something I'm thinking about. Nor should I, until I know who I'm running against," he said.

Burr said he hasn't run any of his own polls yet.

"Why should I poll?" he asked.

Re: Is Carolina Strategy the cheapest polling outfit in U.S?

IVR polls can easily be done for $1,250.

Really? That's quite a game changer then.

So while even non-interactive robo-call firms that only read scripts to answering machines still charge similar fees for small projects due to the fixed costs associated with programming, long distance and sample, you're saying that Carolina Strategy Group alone has somehow managed to destroy the cost threshold associated with more expensive Interactive Voice Response technology and making the extra dials required for the rejections of live respondents and diminished the cost per interview on a 3.5 margin of error, 800 respondent survey like this that captures demographics as well as congressional ratings, ratings of Harry Reid, ratings of Nancy Pelosi, who respondents would rather control Congress and head to head ratings of Elaine Marshal versus Richard Burr after rating which of each would do a better job as a “check and balance on the policies of President Obama," and then RUN CROSS TABS for like a buck fifty per interview and still make a profit!?!

If so, then not only is Carolina Strategy Group the cheapest polling outfit in the U.S., those guys are GENIUSES!

Or unethical. One of those two.

Edited to add link to full results, cross tabs and executive analysis on 800 sample, 3.5 MOE survey conducted over two days by Carolina Strategy Group as in-kind to Richard Burr for Senate Committee at amazingly low price of $1.50 per interview. For similar pricing on your next Senate run, contact Paul Shumaker, Polling Philanthropist.

So the last we heard from Burr's spokesman was this from June.

NC voters see state economy getting worse

I fail to see why the head of Carolina Strategy Group and incumbent Burr's campaign spokesman didn't send out a press release screaming for change from the rooftops?

Do you?

..the EARTH!

I haven't heard much out of this "new polling firm" since the whole FEC violation thing for Burr?

What's up Shumaker firm?

Still polling away and releasing to media those "two or three polls a month on public opinion issues that could affect business, such as state taxes..."

Or did something happen?

Sounds like the fearless Burr is SCARED to debate?
What a sorry excuse for a senator. Better than Dole, but very bad.

looks like the democrackkk spin machine has cranked up over such silliness...if Lewis doesnt understand the fairness of having the others in his party there to participate, then maybe he's just all about him? hmmm...nah, he's a loiwyer, he wouldnt think that way...

"He won't face his constituents"

He'll be on UNC-TV tomorrow night with Price, Watt, Miller and Etheridge, taking phone calls. He was at an event a week ago with Kissell and a couple of Obama's official government minions. Sounds like a man who's deathly afraid to me.

But you keep repeating the talking point of an unknown candidate desperately looking for any excuse to send out a fundraiser e-mail. Heck, with you and him working that angle together, I'm sure Lewis will be able to rake in a cool two hundred bucks!

"Burr now says he's scared"

Agreed. But what do we do about it? He won't face his constituents, much less his opponent. Why is Burr scared?

Any idea cmitchz?

"Burr now says he's scared"

LOL. Yeah, you can definitely get that from the article.

Burr wants to face ALL of the Democrats at once, but all but one apparently refused to attend, so he must be scared to face just one of them. That makes a lot of sense. Perhaps it's all of the no-showing Democrats who are scared of little ol' Richard Burr, except for one nobody for whom this event is probably the only way to make a name for himself?

Kenneth Lewis wins first debate with Richard Burr

Burr now says he's scared after first agreeing to show his face in North Carolina. Burr just lost the first debate he once agreed to on Healthcare by chickening out to come to NC.

What happened? Is Kenneth Lewis too scary or just too representative of real NC voters - including the black ones that voted for President Obama and Healthcare reform?

Come on Richard....you can do it. Show your face in NC. Just like Liddy didn't. You appeal to black voters too. Come on. Let's get them out Dick!

Shumaker and Burr really do deserve each other

Shumaker said the firm will do two or three polls a month on public opinion issues that could affect business, such as state taxes, but he does not plan to do "horse race" polls on how candidates are doing.

...for at least a month, and then only for Burr, and then only for free, or at least until caught by the media.

When did chief campaign strategist become a synonym for chief campaign liability?
