You've obviously never seen this movie:

Even Geordi La Forge could see that.

Hilarious. Thank you.

As a Democrat, I give the Civitas folks points for their humor and creativity. But umm...where are the black people in the video? The high tech center is planned for North Carolina A & T University, an HBCU.

Not to expose my geekiness to the world, but the original Star Trek series was groundbreaking for a number of reasons, especially its multiracial cast. They went where no television show went before. Uhura was an integral part of the series and an inspiration for future communications directors. Uhura and James T. Kirk's kiss was the first interacial kiss on television.

I'm just saying...

UNC Law, UNC Law, McGeorge School of Law, Buffalo School of law, no way any of them get the nomination.

Ivy League Obama will certainly follow tradition and nominate someone from the Ivy League or Georgetown or Stanford.

Re: In the crowd at the Obama rally

Why is Lt. Governor Perdue not at the Obama rally? According to her schedule on her website, she doesn't have anything scheduled today. She said at ethics forum she would be the most transparent Governor in history, so there is no way she has something scheduled today that she isn't disclosing.

Very strange that the Democrat nominee for Governor is avoiding the Democrat nominee for President that she endorsed in the primary. Quite a week for Perdue-- she dodged the debate and now she is dodging her hand-picked nominee for President.

A fair point, but appropriations bills are the only public records available.

There's no way to know who put individual earmarks into the budget.

C'mon, RTB, you know enough about the budget process to understand that sponsoring appropriations bills (let alone cosponsoring appropriations bills) is NOT an accurate measure of what members are actually asking for.

I was wondering whether it were an April Fool's joke, too, because I think it would be a hell of a thrill to see the Wayans Brothers -- or even just ONE of 'em, here. They're wonderful, hilarious, smart and energizing. If they're really going to show up to stump for Obama, HELL, we all benefit.

I would NOT miss the chance to see these guys.

Hope it won't no April Fool joke~

Seriously, they can't find anyone a little bit more prominent than the Wayans brothers?

Which incarnation of Wayan will this be? Mary-Kate or Ashley?

Is Dome confirming they will be rallies? You didn't specify in the previous post.

The Charlotte Observer reported that he'd be in town for high dollar fundraisers on Saturday.

If I write a "report," will you publish it, too?

I have one in the works called the LPRI (Lies Per "Report" Index) which studies the outputs of the multi-million dollar opinion manufacturing organization you all are so fond of covering.

Sanders said . . . "the study alone would not answer the question."

Exactly what question will this "report" answer?

If the Dome thought this was important news, why not just go to the source (state government) and do the analysis yourself? Why does the entire N&O organization allow itself to be used as a soapbox for Art Pope's paid extremists?

I really don't get it.
