So the Democrats finally admit the bill is bad. Wow, what do you know. A Democrat told the truth for once that the huge debt ridden stimulus bill is a collosal wrong to the taxpayers.

Maybe that's because you and Liddy were more concerned about representing big business than you were looking out for the people of this state, Senator Burr.

This is what happens when none of our elected officials read the legislation...

This should also serve as a reminder to our Congressional leaders to take their time when considering legislation - for example health care overhauls and new financial regulations - that they will soon face.

We, as constituents, should be utterly outraged, not only with our federal elected officials, but with local officials like Michael Brandt. Since he is a town manager, his salary is funded by the taxpayers and raising concern to the City Council might hold some ground.

Gosh - Who would you prefer being our US Senator, currently in the debate to run against Burr, that you think would do a better job than Burr...

Because I think your answer will indicate that you are nothing of a blind liberal on the federal level and a "moderate" on the state level, because your arguments are so inherently flawed that you can no longer defend the Democrats on the state level.

I hate to tell you, but North Carolina Democrats are only following suit on the national level, only North Carolina's Democrats get caught much more frequently...

Again, not defending the Republican party as I am not a Republican, I am a conservative, and yes I would enjoy to educate you as to the differences.

The Democrats are worried about attacking Richard Burr because they know their own defunct ideas cannot win. Hagan did not beat Dole, she beat Bush.

Those are national polls, not just North Carolina voters, and one isn't even about the stimulus. It just says America's "right track" polling has been steadily improving since Obama was elected. Did you even read it?

The one that actually is about the Stimulus, however, also says more still think it helped.

31% Say Stimulus Package Helped, 27% Say It Hurt Economy

And that poll includes Texas.

Listen, you got busted talking out of your Wranglers. No big deal. It's not the end of the world, just the false version of it you tried promoting in this thread.

polls show that they will not gain much on the Stimulus package, budget resolution and Lilly Ledbetter is not a big deal - nothing short a fleece job.

What polls are those? I found these.

A majority of North Carolina residents support the federal economic stimulus package.

The latest Elon University Poll found that 52 percent of those surveyed support the stimulus package, while 39 percent disapprove of the package...

Update: A poll released earlier in the week by the Civitas Institute found that 50 percent of North Carolina voters support the stimulus package, while 36 percent are opposed to the package.

Plus the actual criticism will be Burr voted for Bush's Wall Street bailout, but not Obama's Main Street bailout. That's enough to make any reasonable person cringe.
