This was a very stupid mistake on our part, but for what its worth we supported Andy Harris over Wayned Gilchrest, so I don't know how freudian this slip actually is. Gilchrest has a terrible record on amnesty, while Jones has one of the best.

I may be wrong, but I believe this is the only time we have endorsed an incumbent in a primary.

It is a joke that Walter Jones still calls himself a Republican. He can get all the group endorsements he wants, but the people will get the final word and I can tell you they will not stand for his liberal switch.
This will send a message to all RINOs that you have to answer for your actions.

No wonder Tancredo got out of the Presidential bid early. He may be tough on immigration but he's sure short on knowledge about who's running and winning Primaries. Harris and McLaughlin are a lot alike and both are tough on immigration and winning the Iraq War. Jones like Gilchrest can't seem to get the idea of who's party is who's. So I see why Team America is confused. Norquist is right again! Tancredo probably thought; " Wow,I didn't know North Carolina looked like Oklahoma!" when he got Jones' plagerized postcard on immigration.

He's the one who keeps painting using the wrong brush! By the way I didn't see Jones voting with the Republicans on Conyers contempt charges against Meirs and Bolton. He voted "Yea!" with Pelosi and Conyers, check the voting record. While you are ar it check his voting record for the past two years this is a real RINO!

I fail to see many Democrats who vote pro-life, standing up for Christian values, and fighting as hard as Tom Tancredo to secure the border. It may be fair to say his fiscal voting record isn't perfect but to paint him with the same brush as Conyers and Pelosi is downright silly.

Like many 'republicans', Jones has been a disappointment. I guess its the hazard of being from one of the most democrackkk corrupted states in the country...

Norquist was right on target yesterday about Walters Jones lean to the left fiscally. Walters Re-pork Card last year shows a continious slide left over the past 3-4 years. The numbers for 07 are not out yet, but you can bet he'll be even worse than before. It's just not the Iraq War for the folks in the 3rd Dist it's a "Lefty Screwball" voting record that ignores the the people that got him in office. He's lined himself up so well with Pelosi et al, that he might as well switch parties now rather than later. It was sure nice to hear a real Wahington Conservative/Republican standing up for McLaughlin. Who is Jones political advisor these days, John Conyers?

Wouldn't it stink to have Glen Downs' job? You work for a Republican who votes like a Democrat and your job is to try to make him sound like a conservative. Wonder how that reads on a resume?
How can he keep a straight face (no pun intended) and say "Yeah, Congressman Jones voted to raise taxes twice last year, but they were small tax increase." Even better "Yeah, Congressman Jones voted to raise taxes twice last year, but he also opposed President Bush's budget". Big shocker, he opposes everything the President does!
This isn't as bad as some other ones like "Yes, Congressman Jones said he would vote to impeach President Bush, but he wouldn't file the charges" or "Yes, Congressman Jones used taxpayer money for a phone poll, but it is legal because he called it a constituent survey."
I feel sorry for anyone who is doing the damage control on the political trainwreck that is Walter Jones.
