Dole doesn't get it. She is the Senator for North Carolina, not the Dole family and friends, bless her heart.

Why wasn't she in NC much in 2006? Because she was the go to person in her party to get Republicans elected to the US Senate in *other* states, a job she failed at miserably, as the Democrats picked up seats.

But don't hate the player, hate the game. The Republicans think that by representing special interests -- CAFTA, Big Oil's desire to drill anywhere they want, and deregulation of the health care, insurance agencies, and investment banks on Wall Street -- that she is representing everyone.

Call it tricke down representation. Heck it is effective as tricke-down economics, which is to say not effective at all. The people of North Carolina deserve better via Kay Hagen.

I will take Dole over Hagan any day. I do not want to see a liberal Democratic president and a liberal Democratic Congress. It will be one long love-in until we are all broke. What ever happened to being proud of working rather than government handouts. National defense is nothing to be ashamed of either. Talking to the enemies of this country is fine as long as we have some military backup. Sometimes the world cannot be run out of a textbook written by people who could not make a living in the once-real world.

Yeah, she identifies with the little guy all right. "Our farm has been turned into a real estate development just outside Salisbury," she says.

I'm sure farmers everywhere across this fair state feel reassured about her read on their concerns.

If she doesn't have to put a press release out for every time she visits the State, then why did she issue a press release earlier this year saying she was on vacation in WNC?

Again, a OUTSIDE Democratic Senator who is responsible for spending up to $8 million in ads attacking Dole will not allow Hagan to be independent AT ALL. They would keep reminding her you need to vote with us becuase we bougfht that race for you. We do not need that kind of influence peddling here, period.

I'm not the one who wasn't there to vote against them, Liddy was. But go ahead and send her some money anyway, so she can add it to the huge pile she's already got from big corporations, defense contractors and land developers, who thrive on billion-dollar boondoggles...

scharrison? Everyone one of those programs you mentioned are a gross waste of taxpayer money. Why do I have to pay for someone else who was not responsible enough to pay their mortgage. If you cannot afford it do not get the mortgage. Would you please pay my share of those billion dollar boondoggles you feel so free to spending my tax dollars on.
Drill here, drill now, and pay less.

The voters of North Carolina would be better served if they paid attention to the fact that: while Dole had time to give a glowing speech about her husband, just a few weeks before that she did not have the time to vote on things like the Foreclosure Prevention Act, the Consolidated Natural Resources Act, and a few assorted and sundry amendments dealing with clean energy and taxes.

If I had a dollar for every "commemoration" she's authored and gleefully presented, I could fill up my tank and maybe even eat at Arby's a few times.

the Hagan campaign was SO clueless on all this when I called them yesterday...apparantly they were having a Wizard of Oz party in Waynesville NC in Hayseed County, so you know it was a hillbilly affair, but they do LOVE democrackkks in Hayseed! they told me it was at a private residence (always very exclusive, them democrackkks)...lolol...
I hope the 'crackkks showered her with $1000 bills!

Wow...I mean, I'm trying to figure out what mental hoops and turns you have to take to find the Hagan comment an insult against Bob Dole. Those campaign staffers must just live in a whole 'nother world, where everyone is out to get them, and evil lurks in every shadow..
