Ben,
Please ask Senator Hagan, if this is such a good bill for the American people, why did she vote against allowing Congress and their staff to be enrolled into it?

How about tort reform and limiting malpractice insurance costs and limiting legal fees - not payouts or settlements? The reason we do not have have doctors in many rural areas of NC is due the lawsuits of John Edwards that caused malpractice insurance to skyrocket. In order to pay malpractice insurance, drs have to see a lot of patients which leads them to more populated areas. Fix what Edwards screwed up and the problem will fix itself. But, I am not holding my breath on tort reform.

Hagan is worthless.

Why not open up licensing so nurse practitioners and others can do what they were trained to do, costs can go down, and we don't have to create even more new government programs to deal with the consequences of previously (or concurrently) created government programs?

well we are so lucky to have a government that makes decisions on what the heck they want versus what is fair and equal and right. they probally could run washington alot better if they would get their nose out of the "small buissness man's business. the owner of the store, bar, restaurant, should decide if someone should be allowed to smoke in it....afterall he PAYS THE TAXES ON THE PLACE!!!! and if non smokers dont like it....eat elsewhere. tough cookie!

I'm not sure but I believe it is the same article that allows the guy down at the tire store to deny you an inspection sticker because your tires do not have "enough tread."

But luckily he is running a special on tires that are just your size and can have you on your way for $500.00.

Where do we find in the U.S. Constitution or the NC State Constitution any phrase that gives legislatures the right to limit or restrict our Constitutional right to the pursuit of happiness? Smoking bans should be left up to the individual store/resturant owner. Then, if I choose to not go into that business, it will be between me and the owner. The STATE has no business in meddlin' in our business.
I will be talking about this and other State intrusions on Shelby Radio Monday - Friday at 8am.

There are any number of bars in Winston that would be honored to have you as their guest. Please call ahead Hugh, so the NRA can greet you with the appropriate 21 gun salute.

Not all mountain biking is in state parks, silly. There are many legal trails where mountain bikers share land with hunters. I've ridden past drunken bear hunters in the NC mountains. Also have ridden past those who WERE hunting in state parks in the NC mountains.

Katy said she didn't want to get shot. My question is how much hunting is allowed in state owned parks?

Re: Potty Mouth Pat

The proof is in the proverbial Playboy Pat's potty mouth now! No one with any sense believes he said anything but sh**t. Sorry, but I've said all along he does not make sense and mispronounces words, but this time, he got sh**t just right. It goes just like this (listen as you read this), "Which is, which is...Sh**t, there is no quote me ever saying that, whatsoever". (quote; end quote). Sorry, Pat's Pawns, but his sentence is clear; there is no "she has"; instead he says "there is" (sh**t is definitely the expletive it was meant to be)
What a great role model for our children.
