Let's just hope that other states do not start offering rebates to our industries. I would hate to lose the RTP.

So if a business tax cut is good for Hollywood to stimulate the movie business here in NC....

Wouldn't an overall business tax cut stimulate other industries?

Wouldn't a sales tax cut stimulate spending?

Wouldn't (insert tax name here) cut stimulate... You get the idea.

Or is it just that the beautiful people just deserve it more than the rest of us schlubs?

This is a prime example as to why you need an effective lobbyist. Do you think the legislature thought this up on their own?

From the way the article is written it appears the higher your expenses the more rebate. I'm sure we would not ecourage these workers to eat a steak over a three-bean salad. And I hope we are not paying a rebate on liquor drinking and such! Wouldn't want these people to come to North Carolina and be corrupted.

I'm as pro-business as the next poster, but I would assume this effort to attract business has something to do with Easley's wife, or perhaps Elizabeth Edwards and why something has to do with something?

I was at the Fayetteville rally on 10/19. We got turned away at the door after the crowd inside reached capacity. There were at least 3,000 people behind us. I don't think your count includes the people who were not able to get into the event.
