I hope Elizabeth survives cancer and her children have many good days in a normal childhood. Personally, I'm very tired of the Edwards and don't see them as the nobility that apparently this paper makes them out to be.

First off if you want apologies you should be contacting Perdue, Basnight, Rand and Hackney for their mismanagement of state government and then Roy Cooper for not doing his job to correct the corruption therein.

My comment was in response to one and only one individual. It was not about anyone else living, dead or about to be born.

When someone says they want to become a career politician and as part of their resume states that they were a lawyer in Iraq for the US Army and I say that ain't good enough for me, then so be it.

As far as I am concerned, he needs to apologize for not stepping outside of his safe civilian MOS over there and do the same job my nephew and thousands of other front line military personnel are doing and have done.

Maybe then he would earn my respect!

The Democrats have run this state and have total control over it. Everytime you bring up a bad point you are attacking your own party. Democrats are in charge, you are responsible.

The Democrats have controlled Congress for the last 3 years which will be four by the time Burr or a democrat is sworn in. How many years do you get to keep blaming Republicans for obvious Democratic screw ups? Are you going to attack the latest Democratic budget of over $3.6 Trillion of which 1/3 is borrowed. Are you going to attack Obama's budgets where he will have to borrow 50 cents for every dollar he spends?

To vote for a Democrat over Burr is supporting total Democratic control in a filibuster proof Senate. With the Democratic Party leaning way to the left with the CIA lied to me Pelosi and we have lost the war in Iraq Reid; how can you claim to be a moderate to conservative Democrat?

Cal are you going to be able to work with Harry Reid and other Democrats who called you a baby killer and rapists?

As a veteran of the '84 Primary War, I saw the destruction brought on by the traitorous actions of Knox and his people! The republicans never would have won that year with that Liar's help! As with most of the republican victories in this state, they only happen with the help of weak, uncommitted Democrats!
