I'm sorry I called you disgusting.

I get it.

We've had law and order for 80 years and somebody screwed up so all State Troopers are not only octogenarians, but also rapists.

Hi-lar-i-ous.

Thank you for your post.

Whoever thought you'd have to tell an 80-year-old to behave?

The Highway Patrol apparently has joined Hugh Hefner and Anna Nicole Smith's late-husband among octogenarians who were having too much fun. So it must have seemed to patrol leaders like a good time to reflect on past, um, accomplishments.uncil and Federal races. People actually care about that.

Did you read your own facts about this case or just want to make a case for moving to D.C. for Roll Call?

You're disgusting.

I was referring to Allred drinking beer and chasing 16 year pages.

I forgot about that Republican Senator from Idaho who was arrested for solicitation in the airport bathroom

In my book, going 102 in a 60 is more than speeding. It's a total disregard for the lives of everyone else on the road. I hope he likes walking.

Nice thought, WilmDem, but speeding's not exactly in the same ballpark.

If you want to talk family values, how about your man R.C. down there?

Another fine example from a member of the family values party! Allred, Sanford, Ensign, Vetter et al!

How stupid does Reuben Young think we are? How stupid does he think the N&O's Dan Kane, who wrote the original story about the investigation, is? The answer is, Reuben thinks we're idiots, but we're not. Come on, Reuben, are you saying it was okay to "delete records to clear up space," which was what was in the investigative report that you used to decide to send Trooper Melvin back to active duty - overseeing the department's computers? But, it wasn't okay if the administrative assistant said there wasn't a space problem. Young, you are an attorney and you should know better. It is a violation of state law to destroy public records, period. The investigative report showed that's what occurred. You just thought you could continue the coverup. Remember, Reuben, the coverup is always worse than the crime. Are you still working for Mike Easley? If you are, and that sure appears to be the case, Bev should show you the door.

This lack of confidence applies to the Democratic leadership in the General Assembly. Do you really think the Democrats will not defend their own, even if they know they are corrupt?

A movie about political inflence in NC State Government:

"By day I run the state and then it's 'Nights in Rodanthe"

Bev Perdue - Jones Street Movie

Given everyone avoiding questions around Perdue's past with Glover makes me believe that the rumors about Perdue & the SHP that have floated around for years might just be true.

If Perdue's tenure as Governor continues to turn into a bigger soap opera than either Edwards, Easley or Sanford, then Hollywood or Wilmington studios will for sure make it into a movie. The actress they will likely choose to play Beverly is Florence Henderson (mirror images of one another). Florence is the only one of the two that actually did grow up poor. And they probably both feel the same age right now: 74

Transparency? Only when it is convenient. This promotion is strictly political. Look and Glover's lack of experience. SHP is full of corruption.
What is the connection between the guv and Glover? Hey...Protzman why don't you liberals demand transparency. You only pick and choose your issues.

The citizens of North Carolina have become accustomed to these type stories coming from Raleigh.

We are fixated on the continuing soap opera and need a weekly installment. This installment seems to be just another along that long road to the pits and depths of the other side……. the dark side of intrigue, suspense and chicanery. It is just plain good ol’ fashioned entertainment for the working families who can no longer afford cable or the movies.

I’m thinking we’re ready for a “Jones Street Reality TV Series.” This story makes it appear that someone has been booted off the island before they were ready to leave. North Carolina is fast gaining a reputation…….maybe not the reputation we wanted but it’s nice to be noticed. Stay tuned for another episode. I’m sure it’s coming soon.

Maybe the film studios who are looking tax breaks will make a movie about North Carolina politics. Maybe "Borat, Part Deux."
