Re: Board crucial to Black's downfall

The NC BoE Easley investigation is the equivalent to the Keystone Cops giving Easley a parking ticket while he’s driving a stolen car w/ the front, back seat, & trunk overloaded w/ dead bodies from toxic water.

Millions of NC citizens, soldiers, Marines, & their families who are sick & dying from toxic water want Gov’s Hunt, Easley, & Perdue indicted by Federal authorities for obstruction of justice & misappropriation of Clean Water Trust Funds in the “Sewergate” & the BRAC Scams.

Gov’s Hunt, Easley, & Perdue cover-up of “Sewergate” includes the PCS Mine running an illegal toxic waste dump that has contaminated the Castle Hayne Aquifer which is killing Marines & family members & over permitting & importation of out of state municipal sludge to dilute medical waste like Lab Corp & Burlington which is killing people from the VA to Fort Bragg.

Millions want justice for ‘Sewergate,’ the largest corruption scandal & cover-up in US history.

Janet, Sorry I missed you when I dropped the Freedom of Information Request to Nick Bryne for details of all the investments of the NC State Employees Trust Fund and details of all the “Sewergate” General Statutes 162 Water and Sewer notices of mismanagement & misappropriations of Clean Water Trust Funds, like Bay River & Western Bay River Sewer.

You seem to be focusing only on going forward with what is left of the NC State Employee’s Trust Fund rather than concentrating on the over 20 missing $20 billion dollars. Waterfront Sportsman Wall Street & Finance Expert estimates the NC State Employee Trust Fund to now less than $40 billion.

Your staff seemed to be having a hard time finding the docs. As soon as you give them up, WFS will let you know where the missing 20 billion went.
Try Sara Lang, at Walter Daltons 919-733-0098 lt.gov@nc.gov. She probably took them with her, like Dare O’Conner took the Bay River Sewer File from Les Merritt’s to Larry Leake’s.

Even Geordi La Forge could see that.

Hilarious. Thank you.

As a Democrat, I give the Civitas folks points for their humor and creativity. But umm...where are the black people in the video? The high tech center is planned for North Carolina A & T University, an HBCU.

Not to expose my geekiness to the world, but the original Star Trek series was groundbreaking for a number of reasons, especially its multiracial cast. They went where no television show went before. Uhura was an integral part of the series and an inspiration for future communications directors. Uhura and James T. Kirk's kiss was the first interacial kiss on television.

I'm just saying...

"You kind of left out the fact that Decker was a Republican who switched parties for money."

If Decker had been a Republican at the time of his sentencing, he would have probably gotten the electric chair or life without parole.

I know he's happy that he switched over to the Democratic Party. Freedom is just around the corner. It looks like the courts understand that when Democrats break the law that they really are only bending the rules a little in order to "help the people, save the schools and stand up for education."

All these guys who cross the line have good intentions. They have good hearts. They were good children.

They are all crooks and should be thrown under the bus!! Get rid of all the crooks in Raleigh and replace them with some hard working "unemployed" people who know what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck. They could do a lot better job at a 10th of the cost of these turds we call politicians!!!!!!

This seems to be a good month for Jim Black and his buddies. First, Black gets to hand off some land of questionable value rather than hard, cold cash. Now Decker gets out early.

Re: Black hired Speas in 2006

Speas also pled against the Stephenson decision, on behalf of The State, and Roy Cooper, who apparently has never been in a courtroom throughout his entire tenure as AG.

Stephenson, or rather how the Plaintiff's natural right to examine compliance with that decision, was derailed in Nov. 2003 by Black and Decker and Morgan.

The Pender case, based on the Stephenson precedent, is upon us, as soon will be the Census, again. It's a good thing the Governor has no voice in redistricting matters.

Linda Daves and the upper echelon of Republican Party couldn't even use these people as reasons to vote Republican. Did I hear anything about Jim Black , no or thomas wright. These are poster children for corruption and the republicans blew it . Linda has gotta go and get some people who can fight the fight.

I guess investigating an official's sexual misconduct - in the taxpayer's office ON THE JOB - doesn't interest the GOP if it's a fellow Republican.

Wonder if the illustrious Mr. Holding thinks the GOP went overboard with Bill Clinton and articles of impeachment?

Re: Shanahan: Keep investigating corruption

I don't disagree that citizens and watchdog groups are needed, but there's no question that we have to have a strong and independent minded U. S. Attorney.

Basnight is correct that it shouldn't be anyone openly partisan. I think that might rule Shanahan out even if he weren't GOP. But for that matter, i don't think Shanahan had himself in mind when he made those comments about the effectiveness of the GOP U. S. Attorney here in prosecuting a few Democrats whose names we'd like to forget for a moment.

Everybody is angling for position right now, so these tidbits are interesting. Maybe not as captivating as the dog thing, but still.
