has anyone ever thought that maybe if they increased the salary of correctional officers the department could hire less employees and may avoid getting those sorry officers who are not far from being incarcerated themselves. oh yea, they thought about it.....then they increased their salary instead.

How much more supervision can you give someone who is already on Death Row?

Re: Goodmon opposes FCC rule changes

Maybe Goodmon could go ahead and acquire the Durham Herald-Sun anyway. WRAL already owns the Durham Bulls so why not add the Bull City's daily newspaper to the mix?

Then he could give the Herald-Sun enough of a news and sports staff budget to expand its coverage of the Bulls' baseball games. In fact, come to think of it, with a few more reporters milling around the Herald-Sun's local beats, the Durham newspaper could perhaps provide some decent competition for the--er, uh--let us just say, for a certain daily newspaper from the Capital City of Raleigh.
