What about the issue of GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION in NC?

WHO is the favored candidate about that?

YEP, time for this 'newspaper' to deliver more information on this...

Also, check out the conflict of interest for Martin Nesbitt and BCBSNC.

Is there more information the N&O may provide on this issue? Which lawmaker wrote the provision? What is the legal language? Its simply too convenient that a politically connected organization was able to have its competition excluded from an industry as a result of bureaucratic activities.

I would personally appreciate further analysis of this occurrence.

Not much real difference from the last poll. Looks like Moore cut a little bit into the lead and Nielsen doubled his percent from last time.

Pat McCrory is the only candidate with traction against the 2 democrats who have been running for the last 8 years and have accomplished nothing but embarrassment for this state. How much of their money is legal and how much from the Parton theatre scandal?

2nd Half Numbers

Perdue $2 million
Moore $1.77 million

Moore has a slight edge in cash on hand, but no one has a monetary advantage so far.

Maybe it's just the populist in me and notwithstanding my Republican registration I find myself liking Dennis Nielsen. I would love to see him go up against Fred Smith and allow North Carolina to actually have some good choices for governor unlike last time in 2004.

In previous years, conditions during voting times at Smithfield Foods have been described as basically a Gestapo security force. People intimidated, beaten... Settlements received by victims for actions by the security force... Fines against the company and head of security if I remember correctly. Bev's suggestion for a grievance commission--people that are scared or illegal are not going to be filing grievances. Maybe those running for office, instead of talking about troubles at Smithfield Foods should work on the kill floor for a month side by side with the workers so they can get a good grasp of the situation. The NAACP has taken an active role in the "troubles" at Smithfield Foods. They deserve congratulations.

What a horribly worded question. It's almost like the NAACP is trying to confuse the plight of Smithfield workers with those of government workers.

Government employee's right to collective bargaining has absolutely nothing to do with the Smithfield plant which has the right to unionize, the workers keep voting it down.

Cottenelle, thank you for your comments.

To Isaac136, maybe not too terribly bright telling others like it is. It appears to be "bright" to pander to any and all people and beleive they are too dumb to see the dishonesty. Thank God most are "bright" and recognize the politcial pandering for what it is: a lack of integrity.

Well, excuse me, not terribly bright? I think it's not terribly bright to be inviting everybody in the world to come live in the U.S. free of charge and putting our citizens in the street to accomodate them either.
