There probably won't be a $60 cheeseburger but maybe a $60 lap dance. This need to be flagged to make sure someone does a freedom of information to really check out those expenses for all to see and to add it all up . Do they really need 70 lawmakers on taxpayers dime for this event ? NO

And I don't think anyone can suggest that New Orleans in July is a pleasure trip. New Orleans in July is an absolute misery.

Compared to John Edwards, most of the other candidates are mere semaphors, going through the gestures, saying what the polls say the people want to hear. market-driven at best. Period. Edwards, on the other hand, being a visionary, is carving out new territory, the future...a vastly better future. He is aiming for the possible America.

As General Sanchez said: "Action without vision is a nightmare."
It will take a bold and humanitarian vision to reverse the nightmare, and recalibrate America's relationship with the world. I'm personally proud that the imagineer is a son of the Carolinas. Maybe he will be that nice mix of Sam Irvin, Stephen Colbert, Andy Griffith, Billy Graham, John Coltrane, Hugh Mercer, Hugh McColl, Terry Sanford, James Taylor and Edwards R. Murrow (the plural).
