Typical Republican. How many times did you vote for George Bush?? Hello... From surplus to financial disaster. How did Republican leadership turnout- for this country? You arm chair Republicans always have a complaint and nothing to offer. Maybe you'd like to change North Carolina's financial status with Republican led states such as South Carolina? I'll take my chances with the sound leadership which has made North Carolina one of the strongest state profiles in the face of tough economic times.

I am disappointed in the lack of understanding by Bev. Perdue. We all said she had no clue and it is showing up in her latest budget proposal. What has she cut? Maybe $100 million and robbed other state trust funds for $40 million? The state is getting $1.5 billion in Spendulous money that she is going to spend on continuing projects. What about next year or the year after?

And the Basnight/Rand team has put in $500 million inspending with NO revenue source. Can you say TAX INCREASES in a HORRIBLE economy.

Seriously, WAKE UP North Carolina and vote in ANYBODY besides Democrats.

"Revenue better than thought" Typical Democrat position! Don't think about it , get their money and then spend it on whatever stupidity that you can think of. Remember that Bill Clinton did his thing bombing Arab nations and running commando attacks against several Arab/Muslim countries. When they finally responded to the Bush was in Office and he responded to their 9/11 attacks appropriately the lefty press took him to task - you guys believedall the bad stuff that was said. The Democarts who attempted to start this thing during their tenure to ensure the war news hid their attempts to convert this country more toward a socialist left wing economy (FDR did it, Truman did it , Kennedy and Johnson did it, all thru war efforts to have the war news on the first page and the social/financial news shifted out of immediate public view. Jimmy Carter at least tried to be more honest about it and you can see what happend to him: inflation at 21% and one term in office! Clinton tried a modification of it to keep down the US military deaths, but essentially had the financial news relegated to the back pages because of his foreign entanglements! Ah Jest cain't wait! The Muslims are gonna stop overt attacks and Chairman Obie is gonna give them everything they want under the table!! As soon as we come to our senses and vote in a conserv. govt. the arabs are gonna attck knowing the US press will head off ny attepmt at redress!

If that were true why do we keep getting internal memos and having meetings telling us they may RIF positions and have employees with 30 years retire because they are not sure they can meet payroll?

Pheww! That was close, we were almost forced into removing some of the fat in the state gov't and actually streamlining some depts. Thank goodness we do not have to do that - now we can keep both our government daycare programs running full strength - better yet we can even get Mrs. Sleazy a higher paid job!!!

Anything said by McCrory has the same credibility (or lack there of) as his hero- George Bush. When McCrory decided to quit his Charlotte job for Duke Energy he ran a bee line to Washington DC and sat at the feet of Bush and Rove. I won't stand for wBush's failed Washington DC policies which McCrory now spouts to find a new home in our state. No Thanks. When McCrory needed money last month he flew in George Bush to fill his pockets. That's all I need to know about him.

Government mandates (read demands) damage business and the economy. Stop adding burdens and the economy will grow. Government is the problem.

"This endorsement comes just at the right time because my oil light just came on," he said.

You know, some minor daily activities don't necessarily translate well into the political discourse. If Pat's awaiting instructions from his car, I sure hope he'll have a dynamic and intrepid staff of advisors if he's elected Governor.

Re: The private paper trail

There is no comparisson to McCrory's position on the minimum wage and Perdue's poll-driven flip-flop on offshore drilling.

McCrory was and is concerned about the impact of a miminum wage increase on small business and the effect that could have on cutting jobs. He said during the primary that he "probably" would not support a minimum wage. His answer on the NFIB candidate questionaire offers more detail to his position. He more specifically said on the questionaire that he would support a minimum wage increase if it was coupled with a tax break for small business. He also indicated that he would consider increasing the miminum wage by tying it to a cost-of-living index.

Perdue said she was "100% opposed" to driling of the coast, as reported by WRAL on June 18, 2008. She also said, "on my watch, we'll never solve the gas problem by drilling off the coast of North Carolina," as reported in the Charlotte Observer on July 19, 2008.

Since Wednesday of this week, she says she has always supported drilling off the coast. That is a complete "flip-flop" that can only be explained by her changing her position based on the polls.

There is no comparision to McCrory's two statements about minimum wage that are consistent with one another, and the Lt. Governor completely changing her position on offshore drilling.

Re: Claims Dept: Alliance on McCrory

I want to say that free community college is NOT FREE. The taxpayers in that community or the state would be paying for it with HIGHER TAXES. That is one ridiculous pander from Bev Perdue and her Alliance for North Carolina. This group just changed it's name 2 weeks ago and did fail to make disclosures only to be bailed out by the State Board of Elections.
Bev Perdue is one hypocrite on these issues and a failure as Lt. Governor. For over 7 years she has failed to improve any area that fell under her office. The big one being Education. The drop out rates and failures of our schools have continued year after year while she serves on the State Board of Education. It is time to bring in a leader with solutions and someone who will actually get out there and work with us all.
Pat McCrory for Governor
