Good news? Of a sort.....maybe.

This news…. in one way….is very good news!

I must admit I have been having doubts about some of the things happening in Raleigh. I am ashamed to admit that I felt there was something untoward in the matter of the missing emails and the disappearing travel records, Ms. Mary’s job and the loaner car.

But if you can make $300,000,000 errors like this…..then it’s pretty easy to lose some emails and travel records. I’m surprised they didn’t lose the computers, the network and the plans for the pier.

This restorative power of this $300,000,000 error is like an elixir to my soul. This error has restored my faith in my fellow man. After all, if you can make $300,000,000 errors …..well, let’s just say it opens up the field and makes other errors seem petty.

Maybe this error explains away a lot of the other stuff. And, by the way, "I believe it is peace for our time………."

Do we really have a budget deficit ?

If we were to find a half dozen or so of these $300,000,000 errors in our favor, then we would be about $1.8 billion ahead. We would not need a $1.6 billion tax increase.

Maybe we should take the time to check for some errors in our favor. Look in the glove boxes of these state cars to see what we can recover. Look in the trunk. Look in the storage closet at the office. Sell off some of the overstock. Sell those spare parts for equipment we no longer have.

We may be able to handle this budget deficit without a tax increase.

I am all for cutting spending!

But I do believe we need to increase spending for DHHS. After reading this article about the $300,000,000 error, I believe we will be faced with a new wave of depressed people. I mean this mess depresses even the most postive of people. I can see a wave of newly diagnosed people when they read about $300,000,000 government billing errors over an eight month period.

And when you thought it could not get worse..........

Career politicians breed corruption and lies. Vote them out or they and their cronies die in office.

Option one...you win
Option two...you lose

A $300m dollar mistake here and a $300m dollar mistake there....and after a while you're talking about real money.

Started in November but now we are on top of it. Doesn't really give me a warm and fuzzy feeling about efficiency.

Hard to imagine mistakes of this magnitude over such a lenghty period of time.

Is what we have in the Auditor's office. Beth Wood takes her marching orders from Rand and Basnight. She ain't doin' nuthin' they don't tell her to.

Never thought I'd pine for the return of Ralph Campbell like I'm doing these days.

Cheers for State Auditor Beth Wood. Three of the legislators who will not like this are Tony Rand, Marc Basnight and Joe Hackney.

Budget cuts unprecedented, Education at risk

It is quite obvious the "free" education offered to mike27513 that was paid for by taxes fairly levied on a society that understands a democracy MUST be paid for by every member was, in his case, a 'USELESS PROGRAM'!

The budget cuts are "unprecedented."

But maybe not so much when you consider that we have been spending money like a drunken sailor!

The first step is to admit you have a problem. The second step is to quit writing bad checks. The third step is to marry a rich woman. Since that will be hard for the state to do, I vote for more cuts.

Welcome to the 1930's Boys.

And the Great Obama Recession rolls on....

It is expected with high Unemployment [ Didn't Obama predict it wouldn't go above 8%? And what about the Obama 800 BILLION Pork Spending bill that was supposed to stop the high unemployment? ],

People who are losing their jobs and don't pay taxes.

No different than the 1930's

With the Welfare Class [ You know - Democrat National Socialists] demanding "free" homes, cars , health care the money will soon run out from people who work for a living.

Remember this the next time you Vote. Eventually the Democrat Socialists will tax all your money away and spend it on useless programs.

Just Some More - Change We Can Believe In!
