I just cannot wait until the Governor stands in front of the camera at the official signing lauding how once again she is "protecting the chil'ren." What a total waste of time!

I suspect that it is too much to wish for someone in Raleigh, elected or appointed, to act like they actually have common sense or a brain?

Shouldn't our representatives at least work part of the week on the NC budget deficit that keeps on soaring?

Since the Senate saw it fit to ban the lighters, albeit a novelty, why don't they ban the cigarettes as well? Ban the junk foods as they are also harmful to a child's health; ban the video games that corrupts the mind of the young one. It seems they are quite selective on the things they find time to ban.

Wow!...I feel sooo safe now! Our state senators dont bother themselves with the little issues of gangs, crime, budget problems, corruption and the like, but concentrate on such vital important issues as...lighters...I feel all giddy inside...

As expected, as soon as things got bad, the lottery money will be redirected to wasted social welfare projects. North Carolina does NOT have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. Cut out the waste and stop giving benefits to illegal aliens and almost all the problems go away.
