I have no problem with these type appointments. I personally believe that once you get a political or state job you should have one for life. If one job ends another agency or branch of government should give you one. Once you are on the public payroll you are not qualified to return to the private sector. I once farmed and I can tell you truthfully that once you start a hog off eating out of the trough, they become dependent on it. You just cannot set them loose into the wild. That would be cruel. We need to take care of the agency and state employees and not be cruel. There is plenty of money to go around so get over it. The supposed shortage of money is just a scam to get people to eat off the dollar menu.

Yep, when will Sleazely be INDICTED for various charges? Atty Generals protect the ones before them in NC!

You can BET that this new appointment is indicative of more potential CORRUPTION within the state!

Given Anderson's shady past, you cant tell me that not one of the other 165 applicants, with less involvement, wouldnt have been a better choice, but we know who controls everything - democrackkks.

Attorney General Roy Cooper has given Easley a free rein of corruption so why should it stop,just because he left office? Roy, you could have sent Easley to prison!

Linda Daves and the upper echelon of Republican Party couldn't even use these people as reasons to vote Republican. Did I hear anything about Jim Black , no or thomas wright. These are poster children for corruption and the republicans blew it . Linda has gotta go and get some people who can fight the fight.

I guess investigating an official's sexual misconduct - in the taxpayer's office ON THE JOB - doesn't interest the GOP if it's a fellow Republican.

Wonder if the illustrious Mr. Holding thinks the GOP went overboard with Bill Clinton and articles of impeachment?

Pretty sure the Mayor refused to comply with any of the requests concerning his financial dependence on Duke Energy... which I believe may be the request you cite... but don't let facts get in the way of your old, tired and repetitive insinuations.

And, as a side note, you may notice how I referred to your candidate as the Mayor... you might consider taking a cue and showing some deference... no one appreciates a consdescending, self rightous attitude.

I believe that Beverly requested information on the Mayor's relationship with Duke Energy months ago. Have you found anything yet other than the Mayor recusing himself from votes where Duke was involved and/or asking for a ruling from the City Attorney every time the Charlotte City Council was dealing with an issue where Duke might have been involved.

Beverly, did your appointees on DOT ever recuse themselves from a vote when there might have been a perceived or actual conflict of interest?

Isn't it surprising that Beverly and the legislature let the proposals to allow investigative grand juries die in the legislature. Beverly, what's your response to this proposal by your opponent? Obviously, it is silence.........Heck, I understand as you might in fact get caught....

Most companies of that size have a legal team, consultants, etc. What about this ethanol company, did they have anyone hired to represent and consult them? Just curious after seeing this listed somewhere. General Counsel/Vice President Business Development, Agri-Ethanol Products, LLC Could be a different group.

We know what Hudson did was wrong but what about the ethanol company's role in the corruption? Hopefully they are not receiving state incentives. What is the status of this upstanding company?
