Yeah hustle got it done alright. Lets hustle those low income folks into voting a straight ticket. Hey Wood, get the thank you card out to Obama by the end of the week.

Agree wholeheartedly. If she thinks for a second anything she did helped her win, she's lost her mind. She needs to write a thank you note to every one of those little old ladies at the polls who would grab people and show them how to vote "1-2-3".

I agree. Didn't see any ads, only saw some signs. Little or no news coverage.
Obama's coattails were really heavy and pulled at lot of people (Purdue, Hagan, Wood, and others). The only reason Troxler won was because he did a good job getting the word out about Ansley being a lawyer. Cherie Berry has great name recognition (every elevator rider knows what I am talking about).

...she also needs to look no further than Barack Obama to figure out why she won. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything she did.

Excited to see Mr. Merritt's new ad. He has done an outstanding job protecting the taxpayers.

And of course any similarity with this "Public Service" ad including the barking watchdog is purely co-incidental:

Virginia Foxx is a GEM of a Congresswoman! She's a libertarian leaning republican which is FAR more desireable than the 'house variety GWB' demopublican types than, say, Heath Shuler who is being challenged by a worthy intelligent Republican, Dr. Carl Mumpower running on a shoestring budget of his own convictions, while Shuler gets showered with $3 MILLION from leftwing UNIONs (in a NON union state?), and the Madame Pelosi Benevolent Society across America.

People do you REALLY WANT a socialist, even communist, existence with MORE
democrats? Cant you SEE who has corrupted NC for the past 100+ years???

Here's a new one in a major race. Rep. Virginia Foxx has an abysmal record of representing NC 5. This is just one example of her cold-hearted lack of response to her constituents. Imagine what one phone call could have done for this woman. Nothing. Virginia Foxx is so set on following in George Bush's footsteps that she won't speak to the mother who has given up her child for her country.

Coach Roy Carter is running this new ad in NC 5. This is a very close race. Polling shows Carter ahead by 1 point, with 20% still undecided. This is definitely a major race for North Carolina, as it could shift the balance of Dem:Rep ratio in our congressional delegation.

SERIOUSLY? No real news today? Just thought you'd cruise youtube and find ads to run? Jeebus! Why not just take the day off then. I mean, you've had the debate, Palin is in town, it's the first day of early voting, but ..... your news is ....youtube.

I'm disappointed. Really disappointed in you. I've stuck up for you when others say the Legion of Dome has lost it. I'm over it. You've lost it.

Re: Merrit still checking voter rolls

"The North Carolina Democratic politicians do not want the State Auditor to look at the voter rolls and root out any abuse or fraud? Why not?"

Because his job is to look for wasteful spending of state funds, not clear the roles of voters, whose eligibility to vote he has no training or authority to determine. Merritt is trying to make political noise with this, and keep voters from remembering that he used his own political office to advance his private career while he was still in office.

Seriously, Mr. Terrell. If you are going to run for office yourself, you should do a little research.

The North Carolina Democratic politicians do not want the State Auditor to look at the voter rolls and root out any abuse or fraud? Why not? If you have nothing to hide Sen. Clodfetter, let us make sure this election is not decided by fraud. Why is your report not ready now? Why would it be ready after the election? I hope that your report currently does not show any fraud or misuse. Are you are hiding it until after the election? That would support my opinion all along that the Democrats will do anything or hide any fraud to win. If I may paraphrase the GOP chairwoman, "We are fighting against Entrenched Corruption here in North Carolina".

It seems to me that Mr. Merritt should do his own job, which would be checking the accuracy of reporting in the way state funds are spent. Leave the checking of the voter rolls to the state board of elections.

Now that NC seems to be "in play" in Nov., I think Mr. Merrit is playing the games early. He needs to pay attention to his own job.

Just my opinion.
