Yes, Daniel Johnson did sell his Raleigh house some time ago. The current owners were trying to flip it when the bottom fell out of the market.

Don't expect much "change" with the corrupt eastern democratic machine in North Carolina. It's really sick that if you are a powerful NC pol you can get your son appointed to a judgeship and then U.S. Attorney. The guy's son lost an actual election to Paul Ridgeway in Wake County so Easley appointed him TWICE to his current gig on the Superior Court.

I thought we were trying to clean up corruption in Raleigh not perpetuate it. What a joke.

Hagan should be ashamed of herself. Not that the other two choices inspire confidence.

They are highly political partisans that ran for office just this past year. What terrible choices.

I consider it a good thing that I've never heard of any of the current US Attorneys - excepting Holding who I heard about because he was busy throwing crooked politicians of all parties into federal prisons.

I guess this is the end of any check on the corrupt ways of North Carolina Democrats.

Ripley Rand is an excellent trial judge. He lost his race against a well respected attorney who is also turning into an excellent trial judge.

Darn right, FFC1304. There are enough experienced attorneys who are Democrats qualified for the posts. Why on earth would Hagan appoint a Republican?
