FFC - I appreciate the libertarian mentality and prescribe to many of their ideologies of government. Thomas Paine would be very proud of voting in accordance to our personal preference order, but the notion of "wasted vote" rings too loud and with the Democrats promoting more liberal ideas a day, costing this country almost $1 billion a day, then we have to work for conservatives. I think you might agree in the end.

Um, lets give it a rest for a long while. We enjoy long periods of no campaigning. The best thing for EVERYONE is to RENOUNCE whichever demopublican slave drivers you've been supporting and find others to run for the people like Duke Prof Michael Munger for instance!

Get away from BOTH of the EVIL forces that seek to control your every movement in life!

I thought Marines only did 6 months?? Not trying to start any inter-branch rivalry, but it's the Army that's been doing 15-month deployments. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Marines (lucky for them) have only been doing 6 months.

Perhaps "Scoop" is related to the mice out in San Francisco that will receive $30 million dollars in Stimulus money. I guess we see where we stand as citizens now...

NC ELECTIONS BOARD DISMISSES CAMPAIGN COMPLAINTS

By GARY D. ROBERTSON : Associated Press Writer
The Associated Press
Oct 14, 2008

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The State Board of Elections on Tuesday dismissed all complaints filed against two national party groups seeking to influence the fall elections in North Carolina using sibling organizations.

The dismissals came after three hours of hearings by the board about the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee and the Republican Governors Association. Both political organizations have raised money which has been funneled to similar state political action committees they created...

That's a fair point. I thought it went without saying, but it's worth pointing out.

Ryan,

You need to put in your article thats she voted YES on the permanent tax increase. You need to report all of the facts and stop running political cover for her. This article according to my FACT Check is misleading and does not state how she voted for the final budget and tax increase.

If she thought they needed to go, then why did she not vote that way?

When the final budget came around that made the 1/4 cent sales tax permanent, she had a choice... Vote yes or vote no.

She chose to vote yes.
