If you're looking for butter, Walmart has theirs for $1.50. That's cheaper than the Kroger one. And their cranberry sauce, stovetop stuffing, and jarred gravy are cheaper than advertised anywhere else too. I had a flier in my N&O along with the other grocery store ads this week.

PoolGoddess. That is not correct. Walgreens does it for me all the time. (Capital Blvd and Old Buffalo Road, and on New Bern Ave., both locations). Seems like you got a manager who is not familiar with the policies.

First, just want to say Enjoy the Wednesday Deals posting, check it weekly. Walgreens will NOT give you register rewards when you use a coupon, so please keep that in mind. Complaining to the manager did not do any good, they stand by the policy you're not paying full price for the product when using a coupon, even though I don't see where that is listed in their flyers either. Anyone found a store that will honor register rewards & coupons together?

Belgrove: Yes, that's right. You have to get to 10 items to get the $5 discount. You don't get an extra 50 cents off when you buy an 11th item.

Terri: Hmmmm, I'm not sure to be honest, but I never encourage people to use coupons for items for which the coupon is not intended. Are there any 30 oz pies included in the sale?

Will the Mrs. Smith's coupon work at Kroger? The coupon specifies that it was good for 30oz. pies, and the ones on sale are 27oz. I got a little stressed that I would get to the register and be rejected, so I just didn't get them. I found 20 other great items that matched with coupons, and spent very little money. If the coupon works, I would like to go back and get 10 items.. not that I actually need pie!

Yes, Kroger has some good deals BUT CAUTION--the deals come in incruments of 10--if you buy 11 items you are charged full price for the 11th item. If you buy only 9 items, you are charged full price for all. After talking with customer service, I came away fully confused and still feeling I was due money back. I checked on the internet and sure enough other people have had the same problem. I only purchase 10 items now no more no less. I have had problems with all stores overcharging so I now scan all receipts and am keeping a log.

I was at Kroger yesterday and noticed a few participating items for the buy 10 get $5 promotion that were not listed in the flyer:

Simply coookie dough (I had a $1 coupon)
Dannon kid-type yogurt (I saw the danimals drink and the crush cups, both of which I think there are coupons for). I didn't notice the price, though.

Oh, and they have organic milk on sale for $2.49 a half gallon. Still expensive, but cheaper than I've seen it in months.

Thought free KFC chicken was greawww.bostonmarket.com/specialst? Boston Market $1 Coupons are good for your choice of a quarter white or 3 piece dark chicken, mashed potatoes and cornbread. That's right, not $1.00 off, but one dollar for the complete meal.

There's a rebate form on the back of specially marked Arm & Hammer 16 oz. (1 pound) boxes of baking soda where you get up to $5 back when you buy both the Arm & Hammer baking soda and Arm & Hammer laundry detergent. So, with the Food Lion BOGO on laundry detergent and a 78 cent box of baking soda, you can get an even better deal.
