Users must keep all messages for 24 hours, but do not need to keep "spam" messages for 24 hours. Hopefully, the messages that state employees don't need to keep for 24 hours will be better defined than "spam".

What took so long? She had to examine all her pass e-mails to make sure there wasn't any evidence of wrong doing on her part in the NCSU mess?

Hey commerce department, try this novel idea, when recruiting new businesses to move to the state lower the corporate tax rates and let the companies fly around and scout locations on their own jets! They have G5 Gulfstreams and such, not lowly Cessnas...

You can bet your bippy that if the DEMOS can get their hands on any money, it will be spent. They don't know how to save or the meaning of the word SAVE until they are backed to the wall by their constituents complaining and wanting to know the real truth. As if the DeMos can speak the truth.

We, North Carolina citizens, are to blame by not keeping a watchful eye on our legislatures. We need to invest the time and energy to keep abreast of what the few "elite" in Raleigh is doing by controlling our state.

The bunch of idiotic thieves!

Will Bev reimburse State for flights on her "Tax Hike Tour"?

It is hard to believe she just took a round the state fly-around promoting her huge tax hike (to stave off devastating cuts) on the state plane at taxpayer expense.

Guess things aren't that bad...

I bet the general assembly will spend this $230,625 on trucking more sand to Marc Basnight's beaches rather than spending it to lower their proposed tax increases. Either the general assembly or the governor will find some way to waste the money.

I respect Rep. Butterfield's initiative to combat bed bugs, but it would be in his best interest to state a stronger case in his news release. The Ramada Plaza in SF is steps away from the Tenderloin, that carpet and wallpaper hasn't been changed in 50 years, and their bathrooms are extremely "quaint" in size. You can't turn around in there without bumping into the sink, loo, or shower stall -- or all three at the same time.

I can't speak to the quality of the Westin or Regency, but under no circumstance is Ramada SF one of the country's finest hotels, let alone the "county's."
