Anyone read online bullying? Very obtuse.

Explicity states one can not "Access" a computer with intent to torment a minor's parent or guardian. I guess those without kids don't get the same consideration.

Also implicity states it's against the law to pose as a minor...
Who writes these things? The law goes into effect Dec 31st.

Since I'm a 14 year old girl, I will report all comments that "Plant any statement, whether True or False,... that provoke a third party... to harass a minor."

Is this the worst-written law ever, or are they all like this?

This law would violate the equal protection clause of the Constitution since deported illegal immigrants wouldn't be encumbered in the least from a name change upon aggravated re-entry under a new name.

What a flurry of stuff from the AG.
Seems there's a "pin the tail on the demon" daily - don't it?
Should we bate breath for the tomorrow's "demon dejure"?

Wonder if this is to deflect his self-approval backfire (he thinks he's done great things regulating the finance industry) onto something else... anything else...

So, once a criminal, always a criminal? Then where's the effort to keep track of murderes and other violent criminals that continue to break the law and make a mockery of the probation system?

Re: Bill would add teachers to registry

There is not a different standard, but the problem lies with school boards and superintendents who don't want to prosecute because they are afraid of bad publicity. The teacher is then just sent away with no record of a violation to another district only to repeat the offense on another unsuspecting school.

I was not aware there was a different standard for school employees, that they can currently commit sex offenses with students and yet they are not required to register as a sex offender?? That is amazing.

Re: Easley: Offenders in hotels protects kids

Not a good option when the motels abut a neighborhood where kids live.
We have two disreputable hotels on the fringes of our neighborhood--the city places homeless people there, and they filter through the area and rob people and burglarize homes. Now, I suppose, they will be molesting our children.
This is not a good option. We do not want criminals in or near our neighborhood.

Shaking my head in amazement! Then kick them out of the parks/playgrounds for goodness sakes! Job one is to protect our children. Last on the list is to provide a "safe haven" for a bunch of twisted perverts. Gov'nor, are you NEVER in step with the people of Noth Calina?
Stop spending our money on junk programs!
