U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield of Wilson, a key Obama leader in North Carolina, said he didn't know anything about Palin.

"I can't even pronounce her last name."

And this, children, is why you should stay in school.

But I would be willing to bet he has figured out how to say Obama.

If a white guy with Obama's experience had tried to run aginst Clinton we would never have heard of him. Biden and Dod who do have real experience each got only a tiny number of votes in the primary. As a candidate for President Obama is totally a creation of the liberal big media. The numbers show Obama has gotten more and better coverage in the big media.

What does it tell us about voters when they support Obama because he is black? Is that different from voters who don't support Obama because he is black?

to announce it's vote for Barack Obama

I know I like to pick on RTB for this sort of thing, but it's far more rewarding to catch the editor.

Larry Kissell got lucky back in '06, a lot of Hayes supporters stayed home figuring he already had it locked up. They'll be out this year. Kissell will have to settle back into his real job and stop pretending like he can be a Congressman.

Republicans bring nothing but white dudes to a hearing on hiring diversity and you compare that to saying that a Presidential election is about issues and not race?

Are you really that ridiculous?

Dan Blue should be worried about fixing the failures in this state and not worry about Obama. Obama is a big boy and can take care of himself.

Dan Blue on the other hand is a PAC money elitist who is out of touch with the voters in the 33rd.

If you are for Forced Annexation that takes your private property and gives it to a corporation to make the city more tax money, then vote for Blue.
If you are for a weakened Jessica's law that allows judges to give child molesters probation, then vote for Blue.
If you are for the state borrowing over $850 million without voter approval, vote for Blue. BTW borrowing $850 is not balancing the state budget. Another Democrats lie.
If your against calling the marriage the union between a man and a woman, then vote for Blue.
If you are against giving teachers and state workers a living wage and pay raises, then vote for Blue.
And finally, if you are for the state taking more of what you earn every year, then vote for Blue.

Every voter in the 33rd State House district have a choice. And do please come visit me in my middle class neighborhood. I am sure you will never see Dan Blue anywhere close.

Obama Stops Advertising in Red Battleground States

Obama Stops Advertising in Red Battleground States
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/08/22/obama-stops-advertising-in-red-battleground-states/

Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has put the brakes on ads that were running in seven states carried by the GOP in the 2004 presidential election, FOX News has learned.

Of the seven states — including Alaska, Georgia, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota — Florida and Virginia are considered key battlegrounds this year. Obama’s decision to stop advertising in those states is raising eyebrows.

Aides to Obama told FOX News that the changes are related to the convention next week but they wouldn’t discuss the specifics of their ad strategy.

When Obama’s campaign took over the Democratic Party earlier this year, it embraced Howard Dean’s 50-state strategy, which is aimed at courting Democrats nationwide. The strategy has generated controversy, though, because many Democrats say it wastes money in states where they have no chance of winning.

The shift in strategy comes after Obama and McCain exchanged ads Thursday accusing the other of being out of touch with the average citizen because of the number of homes he owns or the amount of money he has.

FOX News’ Carl Cameron contributed to this report

Here is the problem: The biggest reason McCain has been gaining in the poles is that he slams Obama for being elitist, out of touch, and not really in tune to what the middle class wants.

Obama and the Democrats are rightly pouncing on a very hypocritical stance from the man who thought $5 million was rich, married into money, and owns more property than he can recall.

You also can't lower the debate yourself, and then complain about the debate being lowered.

This is a big flub for McCain, and the fact that the Dems pounced so quickly also shows this won't be '04, where a campaign is slow to respond and fight back. With Rice agreeing to a timetable today for Iraq and the Economy slowly coming back around, Obama will regain his lead just because Obama will win on the domestic issues.

My house is near Wal Mart...........

Would you want Sen. McCain to answer the red phone at 3 a.m.?

Well, that would depend on which home he was sleeping in. I mean, if he was sleeping in a home that he did not know he had then there would not be a red phone in there. But if the secret service people had strung a phone line in there then he would not know where the phone was. So if he did not know where the phone was then the line would not be answered and they would probably figure he was on the “do not call list.” Then they would leave him alone and call someone else. I think Wal Mart is open at 3 a.m. I’m pretty sure one of the managers there would be able to answer the question. And I would think they would have a Wal Mart near Sen. McCain’s home, even if he did not know it was his home. Wal Mart’s are everywhere. I don’t know where all of them are. So I can see how John doesn’t know where all his homes are. But wherever John has a home there is a Wal Mart nearby. I think that is what is important. If John doesn’t answer the phone then Wal Mart will. So not knowing how many homes you own is no worse that not knowing where all the Wal Marts are. I forget things all the time. I’m sure you do too. Like how many places do we have troops who are being put in the line of fire? What’s a gallon of gas cost? Does the Texaco man still wipe off your windshield, vacuum your car and check the oil…….with a smile?
