Soles is 74. What's with all the platitudes Isaac? If he had the affection and support of his community he'd be in a nursing home by now, not court. None of this is his fault, at 74 nothing is, I'm just saying. Is nobody under 50 around there qualified to vote in Raleigh? Good God, let the man retire before he gets killed.

I feel very sad for Senator Soles and hope that he can disentangle himself from these misguided connections. I don't think the media can be faulted for the negative aspects that have emerged from Soles' associations. The reporter are doing their job; but I hope Senator Soles can continue to do his job, too, and that he retains the affection and support of his community.

You don't pay much attention, do you? Cooper & Easley have never been close, and the governor doesn't appoint the AG (at least I think that's what your post suggests you believe, as amazing as that level of civic and political ignorance would be in someone so vocal about politics.) If you don't mean to suggest that she will appoint one of those two as AG, why are they relevant to this discussion?

Cooper is a Sleazely hack...he is also Status Quo...

Will Bev choose Willoughby or Rand? Does she have the nerve to select Rand? NC will be watching her EVERY move closely, in fear of what she will do to us next.

How many investigations has the AG's office instigated?

How many prosecutions have they SOLELY brought about?

The answer to both questions is more than likely zero.

All they do is jump on the bandwagon once someone else (USDA, Wake Co. DA) has done the heavy lifting.

I would doubt this is what you are referring to as this is a reference to a news story that mentions the Raleigh Police versus the State Highway Patrol (surprisingly from someone in her own hometown but I don't know when the supposed incident occured!).

Posted by: Terry, Location: New Bern on Mar 28, 2008 at 09:41 AM
Beverly Perdue is a fraud. Ask her about when her cadillac was found wrecked in Raleigh a few years back and her answer was I did not know I was suppose to call the police. Duh. She had been at a party earlier that night.

Our State Highway Patrol? I don't understand, tell me more? Does the press know anything about what you are talking about and if they do, how long have they known?

Interesting.... I would like to know what is in Beverly's past that should not be brought up now? If she is trying to make activities that happened 19 years relevant to this campaign, I think we should be made aware of what happened with her 15 years ago. That seems fair to me!

If anyone knows, please share it with us.

Bev: Come clean with Sewell

Earlier this week, Beverly had to go back 8 years to try to dig up dirt on Mayor McCrory (non-issue: Leadership in Mayor's Conference) and now she has to go back 25 years.

Beverly, you will not tell us how much you have accepted from a SITTING member of DOT that is under investigation. How much did he raise for you and are you going to return it?

Apparently not, as you continue to avoid the topic. Why? Instead you just throw out bogus red herrings.

And while you want to be known as the Ethics Governor, your past, current and future (would not even committ to banning fundraisers from the board IF you become Governor while Pat has pledged not to put fundraisers on the DOT) demonstrate that you are anything but ethical.

Let's get rid of Beverly and her corrupt power elite.

before bringing up things that happened 15 years ago. That won't work out well for her.

You stated "a fundraiser on Emerald Isle that pulled in more than $100,000 — half from Tommy Pollard" Wow, I didn't know that Tommy Pollard could give $50,000 to the McCrory campaign. Isn't that against the campaign finance laws? I never knew that Pollard was investigated in 1989. I guess that's because nothing came of it. And I guess Pollard did not resign to prevent an investigation. But you didn't draw that comparison. Wait a minute, Pollard didn't give $50,000 to the campaign. He asked people to donate. You just can't twist things more that you continue to do. Go ahead and tell us now, you're voting for Bev. Get it over with, end the suspense.

Perdue's comparison of Moore to Jesse Helms makes it pretty clear that she's out of touch with reality.

The ad with Andy Griffith looks like a fictional moment --two good actors?
