Do gays even know it's Christmas time at all?

"I didn't get into politics because I thought government had a better answer. I got into politics because I knew government didn't have the real answers, that the real answers lie in accepting Jesus Christ into our lives...I hope we answer the alarm clock and take this nation back for Christ."

Especially a devout guitarist should have learned the lessons from Footloose.

I have sent Hagan emails on 2 different subjects and each time I received a quick canned response saying thanks for contacting her and I will receive a more detailed and personal letter shortly regarding my concerns. Fine. I wait six weeks and get another form letter saying thanks for my interest. She did not state her position or what she is going to vote on. Reminds me of Bill Clinton waiting to see the polls and saying "ME Too" after reading them. I was hoping she had a mind of her own and was encouraged by her tobacco vote, but now I see she will be a good democrat and vote party line on cap and trade and health care. Burr will vote against both for the same reasons. At least with Burr we know what he stands for and always returns emails with a personal note concerning the subject. I will campaign for his reelection.

OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!
poor little rich girl.
I'm calling a wambulance right now!
As I recall she ONLY made somewhere around $200K/yr. while "running" the Red Cross. That's the same year I stopped giving to the United Way. I pick my own charities now. Animal Rescue, poor folks, sick people. Oh yeah, she and Bob get congressional pensions as well. I wonder if she gets socialized medical care for life as well? At least he earned his. Thank You Bob for your Military service. I respect you for that.

He's got to be kidding me! Why don't the GOP retire her debt. She should not have gone after Kay Hagen like a desperate teen losing a boyfriend to another woman. The shame of it.

She doesn't think much about her loss to Democrat Kay Hagan.

"I'm not one who looks back," she said.

Right.

North Carolina's former Republican senator was in Charlotte this morning for a fundraiser for two groups associated with Mike Huckabee.

Mike should pack his bass guitar for the trip to Cleveland and Mecklenburg counties. There are bound to be some bluegrass players wanting to jam in Kings Mountain and some jazz people looking to stretch out in Charlotte.

And Mike Huckabee is so good on bass, he could even get some of those bipartisan gigs. In fact, if Bill Clinton ever starts up a jazz blues band, he should give Mike a turn on bass.

But don't let them book Huckabee for any lunch gigs because then he might miss out on some of that Catawba Valley barbecue which is to be savored between Shelby and Lake Norman.

Rewriting tax law for just one future taxpayer is just the kind of glaring unfairness and obvious bad policy that would be a lock to pass the NC General Assembly. It's not like we could expect them to admit that if a low tax rate would be good for one business, then low tax rates would be good for everyone.

It's not doing what's good for the state that they want, it's being able to say that they, the legislators, have produced good economic benefits and not the wealth creators and untold number of productive citizens across the state.
