Re: Who's given to Dole's PAC?

There's actually more than just these two, Ryan. I don't have them in front of me right now, but I've been looking at three different PACs that are in Dole's name, and this one (Leadership Circle) is not one of those. Thanks for the info. :)

I'm confused. Low carbon world, however they will just build coal plants elsewhere...

Are you serious? They're still letting Mike Easley test drive automobiles? Talk about a bad track record, Easley's a menace behind the wheel of anything more complicated than his pick-up truck.

I checked them too. You got it right. Big money from big bidness. That pretty much sez it all.

RTB - They won't be news then, I can go inform myself at that point. Have you gotten nothing from the campaigns?

Throw us political junkies a bone.

It would seem they have everything to lose by telling you an incorrect number. You posted earlier numbers sans SBOE online report.

Re: Richard Moore on Progress Energy

Does Moore have an opposition research operation?

Or is he just going to sit there while Perdue kicks him?

Good grief, a google search turns up enough ethical red flags on her to stock the Chinese Army.

She's cutting him down one slice at a time and it has to be taking a toll on his +/- Name ID. He used to have virtually no negatives. Now, astoundingly, she's positioning him as the one with pay-to-play and ethical problems.

Hopefully, he'll decide to fight back before he dies a death of a thousand cuts.

Re: Summer heat strains power

I'd like to thank Progress Energy for what felt suspiciously like a "rolling blackout" in Cary last night. Power went off at EXACTLY 9:00 p.m., came back on at EXACTLY midnight, and no one ever showed up to look at the power box (I watched - it sits in my neighbor's front yard). In five phone calls to Progress, they were spectacularly unhelpful and couldn't even give me an estimate on when a crew would show up, much less knowing anything about why the power went out.
