I hope Elizabeth survives cancer and her children have many good days in a normal childhood. Personally, I'm very tired of the Edwards and don't see them as the nobility that apparently this paper makes them out to be.

I don't understand the fascination with how often our Congressmen and Congresswomen are in the state. They are elected to represent us in Washington. That being said, I agree with TruthSquad that Hagen made a big deal about Dole not being here, so it is hypocritical of Hagen to show such little interest in being in the state. But, that's just a politician being a politician, right? They could actually mean what they say and say what they mean.

Is it just me, or has Kay Hagen been very ABSENT from the state during this recess? I have seen where all other elected officials are out and about, meeting with constituents. You would think Hagan would want to come back and let the people of North Carolina know where she stands on the issues - considering she slammed Senator Dole during the 2008 campaign for not being visible in NC.

Plus this gentleman is running against Bruce Lightner the chairman of the RWCA and the Honorable Dan Blue. I hope this doesn't hurt dan but I want him to get it.

A couple of things. One the table was ugly--it looked like something a really uncreative child might make in 9th grade carpentry class. Two, I'm sure the Easleys are happy that some doofus has given them a $3,400 tax write off. Rest assured, they'll claim the entire amount on their taxes. They'll need it to balance out the added income from Mary's exorbitant salary...Can't this guy just fade away and let the state forget him? We have a real working governor now. You won't find Beverly Perdue in the basement hunkered down doing woodwork. She is taking care of the state's business like a governor is supposed to do..
