With Hayes, McCrory out, Snyder puts foot back in... mouth

GOP field is now open, and attorney John Snyder wasted no time before screaming partisan quips at the 8th District from his home in the 9th.

"(I'll) balance what my responsibilities are to my family and what I see as the failed policies of Larry Kissell," Snyder said. "It's like having Jimmy Carter redux."

Asked about why he doesn't challenge his own Representative, Sue Myrick, John said nothing since that question never came from the Monroe Enquirer Journal.

Linda - prolly not a good idea to throw your email address out in such a public forum unless you want to be spammed by the White House...

Just looking out for the average American!

McCarthy said. "You look at town hall meetings and others, there's a frustration out there. People are looking for new faces, fresh ideas."

If that is true (which I believe it is) then why would they put Hayes back in there, who held the seat for five terms.

What we need is for Progressives to Stand up and be Strong Progressives. It doesn't matter how moderate a Democrat is they want get a whole lot of Republican Support for being Moderate. So don't waste your time. We Democrats to stand united and support Strong Progressive Policies. Then they want have to worry about losing support from their base and guys like Hayes will have a REALLY hard time getting back in there.

Republicans want Dems to try and act like Repubs. It doesn't work! Kissell isn't going to out spend them. They way we beat them is through the strength and power of our Ideas and Policies!

God bless ya gercohen for those mad research and reporting skills so lacking these days!

However...

you don't have to live in a congressional district to be elected or serve

Vernon Robinson may disagree.

Any chance you found where Singapore ex-pats that never lived in the 8th in the first place absentee vote? Is it Virgina Foxx country in Mocksville, NC by any chance? Maybe 132 Lexington Road and real close to Vernon Robinson's house?

Just a guess.

Patrick McCrory

you don't have to live in a congressional district to be elected or serve, however

Come on, DOME. Is DA John Snyder a resident of the 8th or 9th?

It's not nearly as hard to find out as if he failed the bar exam 4 times, then upon passing the 5th time said of finally being Union County DA “It's very, very exciting - a lifelong dream,” Snyder said, (Charlotte Observer, 11/02/06) before his Congressional overtures a few months later.

Who doesn't get this is a horse race but me?

DOME! Wake up!!!

Has Union County DA Snyder ever voted in the 8th or does he live in the 9th with all the other D.C. recruits for the 8th District seat (plus that lady from Singapore that used to live in the 2nd)?

Oh, so is Snyder's palatial estate in the 8th or just close to the trailer parks he seeks to represent, yet still in a gated 9th District community represented by Myrick that pollutes same?

And I accept your apology on the other two recruitment fails.

PLEASE keep them coming.

Never claimed Myers Park was. And the area outside Matthews which has a Matthews postal address but is not Matthews proper is partially in the 8th.

Did Myers Park, Matthews or Singapore move into the 8th District yet?

"I didn't know where Pat McCrory lives"

It's Fantasyland, which is about 12 miles South of Fictionville in Misrepresentation County. Make sure you leave early, bring your own snacks and drinks, and check that your GPS is working, because you will get lost.

Bonus.

Found Mia's old address from her general assembly days.

184 Aloha Drive, while affluent sounding, is nowhere near the 8th. Looks like she either lived in the 2nd or 7th all those years ago.

Typical.

That's 0 for 3 GOP, and let me just pre-empt your next top notch recruit by pointing out Wasilla isn't in the 8th District either.
