It is easy to predict that Republican U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole will remain undefeated. What this state of North Carolina should pray for is that she has recognized the negativity of her past ways, and will change in such a way as to represent fully the lower and middle classes of our state! The Democratic Party decided its fate when it backed Kay Hagan. Don't get too comfortable Mrs. Hagan. Winning the primary on name recognition alone through T.V. ads has not a bit of true substance, which is needed for a seat in the U.S. Senate. North Carolinians can put their feet up where they had them -- many predict that Republican U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole is going to be with us another six years! We have Kay Hagan, her clan of misguided supporters and voters who voted without doing their homework to thank for this. Such a terrible shame! The Democratic Party is divided so much against itself that it has not the ability to recognize better opportunities for this state even when such things are staring them right in the eyes. It will be a miracle if Hagan defeats Dole in November. If she does – which is not really going to happen -- perhaps the lazy portions of Democratic voters of this state deserve such a miracle. I am not sure Hagan if elected in November by name recognition would have any real impact in Washington. Name recognition in the long run is not a true test of courage or ability, nor it is worth anything past an introduction. This state needed more than a puppet pulling the strings of other puppet voters. Getting out and voting is a right that should be exercised in a respectful way. It’s not respectful of voters just to throw their votes where the wind blows. Everyone should know that if you throw money into the wind – some it lands in manure. This, of course, excludes the Democratic citizens who after fully and fairly and sometimes calling personally all of the Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate. Possibly the Democratic votes Hagan did not receive for highly educated reasons will provide the inspiration that can save this state two years from now by motivating those who voted solely on name recognition to change the error of their ways. So, maybe – despite the uninformed and misguided voting portion of the Democratic Party, future Democratic candidates might show this current migraine and thorn in the sides of informed voters that good will ultimately prevail.
