Well, I posted a comment on the SOUP on this matter of Beverly Perdue leaving the scene of the accident way back in time, so I guess I'll repeat here that I think it does matter. I have not decided quite yet between Moore and Perdue (I've only decided that I will vote for a Democrat), but thus far I can't say that Beverly Perdue has given me any reasons to support her. On the other hand, I am starting to think I have reasons *not* to support her. I don't like it when a candidate pads his or her resumes with half-truths, and this business about her leaving the scene of an accident really stinks. As for the SOUP seeming to target her, I suspect that has to do with the perception that she is the front runner. Those are the folks that draw the fire.

I don't mind not knowing who the cooks in Soup's kitchen are; it's kind of entertaining.

If the N&O can't determine who these so called insiders are, perhaps you should consider declining to give them the courtesy of your attention.

Beverly Perdue might want to send The Raleigh Soup back to the chef.

The anonymous political blog appears to be written by Democratic insiders who can't get enough of negative stories about the lieutenant governor.

Since the blog set up shop in mid-August, it's written about Perdue's gubernatorial campaign 19 times. By Dome's count, 13 of those have been negative.

Some of that can be attributed to the site's snarky tone, which is spread pretty evenly across the political spectrum. But many of the posts have followed the Richard Moore campaign's attacks on Perdue pretty closely, including four separate items on the controversy over her resume.

After the jump, a look at the Perdue posts.
