Should have just checked here first - thanks as always to Google for sending me back to Sue! Hoping Target comes back soon... I just missed the boat apparently from a recent offering, but the pharmacist told me to keep my receipt from my transfer this week and check back and see if they can apply it when the coupon re-appears!

To answer my own question... they did not allow me to use that transfer coupon for my new perscription at Kmart because, as it says, it is only for hew perscriptions. However, my perscription was not ready when they said it would be, and they gave me a $10 gift card for that, which was nice and certainly better than nothing!

Does anyone know if the Kmart transfer coupon is valid on new Rx's? I just dropped off a new Rx today and wonder if I can use it.

Thanks in advance!

The same experience happened to my mother at CVS on Glenwood. I sent an email to their customer service department about the situation. They apologized and gave my mother the $25 gift card.

The CVS on Glenwood only accepts coupons from sales fliers - not coupons printed from competitor's web sites. I called and checked to make sure they took them, then asked when I dropped off my prescription (and showed them the print out) but they didn't tell me they couldn't take it until after they had filled the prescription. I was annoyed, but since it was a "freebie" on something I was buying anyway, I guess I can't be too disappointed.

My husband transferred his prescription to Kroger last night. The pharmacist told us that it may take 15 minutes to 24 hours for the $20 to be loaded to our Kroger rewards card. She told us to go shopping and buy at least $20 worth of groceries because once you access your $20 RX reward, you can not use it again. Once we arrived at the checkout counter, the $20 RX reward was already on the card. We had an excellent shopping experience!

I transferred my prescription to Kroger since I do most of my shopping there. The $20 gets added to your kroger card and they said it would take a few weeks to show up, but that I would see it on the bottom of my recipe. Two months later and no $20, I tried to talk to the manager and they said I would have to take it up with the pharmacy. When I tried to they were very rude and in the end would not apply the $20. I transferred back to CVS where they were very nice, and I got a $25 gift card.

Good point! Most CVS stores will take competitor's coupons for Rxn transfers. But ask at the pharmacy counter to verify before having your order filled.

I've also seen a sign on the front door of the CVS at the corner of Leesville Road and Strickland Road saying they will match any competitors prescription transfer coupons. Saw last about a month ago, do not know if they're still offering this deal.

*Not a coupon*
For the first 20 prescriptions you fill OR Refill at the new Harris Teeter in Wakefield (I think this offer is through September, but you might want to double check after August) you receive a $20 credit linked on your VIC card that will automatically apply towards your next grocery purchase of $20 or more - similar restrictions as with the coupons.
