Is there a list anywhere of which stores accept competitor's pharmacy coupons? I know Kmart still does, but I am not sure who else. Kroger and Target stopped accepting other stores' pharmacy coupons awhile ago.

Good questions....

I do not believe (someone tell me if I'm wrong) that you can stack in that case. I would think the general rule of one item purchased to one coupon redeemed would apply. But I have never tried it myself...

And George, you would need to find a copy of that sales flier/coupon insert from the day it ran in the newspaper. The date published is noted for each coupon. Hopefully you still have Sunday's paper sitting in a recycle bin? Or you can find the Rite Aid coupon online by following the link.

Another excellent tool to help save money during the recession!

I have a question. Can you stack prescription coupons?

For example, with a prescription for Bayer Contour diabetic test strips, can you use a new or transferred prescription coupon (receiving a gift card) PLUS a manufacturer's coupon (to reduce the amount of co-pay or full payment)?

Currently, there are three listings in the coupon database found in past RP and SS inserts for the Bayer test strips with different expiration dates.

Should a drug store accept BOTH a coupon for $20.00 off PLUS provide a gift card?

Is stacking allowed here?

Is this an individual store policy issue?

In response to numerous requests, I am going to start tracking the prescription transfer coupons issued in this market. I will catalog the prescription transfer coupons offered by stores in the Sunday paper or other widely distributed advertisements. It won't be fancy like the coupon database. But it will get the job done.

I will post the actual coupon list in my next post and create a permanent link to it under "other topics of interest" in the left-hand rail of this page. You will always be able to click on that link and see which stores have offered prescription transfer coupons recently.

But, I figured that if I was going to start tracking those coupons, I should post a discussion about how to use them. Click Read More to read all about it.
