This is one of the best comments from the Washington Post article today because it is a succinct observation about Edwards. "John Edwards is an ugly, lying, perverse, evil, corrupt, manipulative slime ball. A used condom has more value than John Edwards. What he did to his wife should shut him up and drive him to a cave where he could hide in shame for the rest of his unnatural life. There is only one other descriptive term that fits John Edwards: Democrat!"

His reputation stinks worse than franklin st after holloween. He should just stay in chapel Hill and maybe the brain-dead PCer's there will enbrace him. They seem to embrace everything and anything that the rest of the world wants nothing to do with. He should feel right at home there.

I wonder why "Silky Pony" has to travel to Latin America to help with poverty. Seems to be plenty of poverty right here in RTP, especially Durham. Perhaps he can organize the first "Obamaville" for unemployed homeless folks outside of Chapel Hill.

We need a ruling here. Does a "John" article still count towards the N&O rule of an Edwards article at least once/week come hel* or high water. I say it counts. Courageous Elizabeth articles are certainly "better" if they redredge up ALL the various Edwards Perils.

His attitude on reputation is typical of the last two or three generations
Perhaps that is why we have such a sorry bunch in politics. Just look at what is constantly going on. they all have one thing in common take care of the poor people. after all they vote for whoever can deliver the most

Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards says he is spending his time with his family at their home outside Chapel Hill and volunteering in some anti-poverty efforts in Latin America.

But he has no plans to push to restore his name like former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, Rob Christensen reports.

His reputation, Edwards says, "is not something I’m focused on. The only relevance of it at all is my ability to help people. That's the only reason it matters. I'm not engaged in, or interested in, being in a P.R. campaign."

Edwards gave his first extensive interview to The Washington Post since he announced last summer that he had an affair with a former campaign worker.
