Chill out. RTB didn't even run the Burr quote.

Unlike RTB, I think the actual Burr quote is worth discussing.

“On Friday night, I called my wife and I said, ‘Brooke, I am not coming home this weekend. I will call you on Monday. Tonight, I want you to go to the ATM machine, and I want you to draw out everything it will let you take," Burr said, according to the Hendersonville Times-News. "And I want you to tomorrow, and I want you to go Sunday.’ I was convinced on Friday night that if you put a plastic card in an ATM machine the last thing you were going to get was cash.”

Why did you print a article from the Huffington Post? The Huffington Post has as much credibility as the New York Times, ZERO.

Come on RTB, you are losing credibility with this continuation of negative articles about Burr. Wasn't it Cooper who put out a add that was a outright falsehood in his first election? Or was it Moore? I do not know because with the Democrats being sent to prison in NC it is hard to keep track.

The 2010 Senate race is heating up.

Drawing on recent remarks made by Sen. Richard Burr, the left-leaning Web site Huffington Post has posted a banner headline on its home page: "The senator who wants a run on banks."

It also features a less-than-complimentary photo of Burr, though it does not mention his name, party affiliation or state.

Update: N.C. Democratic Party chairman David Young will appear on "The Rachel Maddow Show," a liberal talk show on MSNBC, to talk about the flap.

Producers had also tried to book former Gov. Mike Easley.
