Re: Draft Coop blogger: It's an experiment

I have been a big fan of Coop's for many years. My faith in him wavered when he went along with the continued persecution of Alan Gell. When he chose to base his advertising this year on his decision to drop the charges against the lacrosse players, he lost my support forever.

Perhaps the fundraising class was solidified behind him by that choice, but those of us who think the volume of outrage over the false charges was related only to the money mommies and daddies spent on the nasty little rich boys' paid publicists and lawyers feel differently.

I don't think there was a rape that night, but Coop, real justice is clearing and restoring a man wrongly convicted of murder, whose life was ruined by years of imprisonment. Real justice is not continuing to harass him unmercifully and refile cases just because you can. Real justice isn't all that concerned with protecting those boys in Durham from gossip and future loss of earnings in their frat-boy careers.

So mark me down in the NO column on the draft Coop petition.

Coop blogger: It's an not experiment! I just wanted some name ID

"I'd rather not go into why I'm remaining anonymous (that would kind of defeat the purpose) but I will say that I have no connection to the Department of Justice or to Coop himself," the e-mail reads. "I don't know how long I'll run the blog — probably until Coop says that he's running or not!" * Unknown Comic and local Blogger

No doubt the unknown blogger wants to play both sides of the political field if his chosen hot shot candiate loses.........
