Tonight: All lanes of I-40 in Durham County are open tonight but crews will be painting lane stripes on I-40 in both directions, weather permitting.
Lane Construction Corp. and DOT are repairing pavement on I-40 in Durham County. This work was scheduled to last until next May, but it's almost finished. Lane has completed the pavement work and is expected to finish installing markers this week, with no more lane closings after Thursday night.
That opens things up just in time for the State Fair (which starts Friday, Oct. 12, in Raleigh.)
