Obama coming to Durham

Barack Obama is coming to North Carolina.

The Democratic presidential candidate will make his first public appearance in North Carolina next month in Durham.

Obama, the Illinois senator, will host a "North Carolina Countdown to Change," at the Leroy Walker Physical Education Center at N.C. Central University in Durham on November 1.

The small dollar fund raiser — $15 for students and $25 for everyone else — will be open to the press.

Obama's last trip to North Carolina was at a private fund raiser in Chapel Hill.
