MySpace in N.C.

MySpace found 245 registered sex offenders in North Carolina.

The social networking site discovered them after hiring an outside firm to begin deleting accounts. It shared the information with Attorney General Roy Cooper this week.

Cooper's office said it would in turn share that information with the State Bureau of Investigation and local parole officers.

The information includes names, IP addresses and e-mail accounts used to create the pages. It does not include any information on sex offenders who created MySpace pages under an alias.
