Moore's halcyon Harvard days

Did Richard Moore attend Harvard University?

Yes, but it was only for summer school in 1981, and the program was open to anyone over 18 who could afford tuition, according to WUNC reporter Laura Leslie.

Until recently, the Harvard line appeared on Moore's bio on Project Vote Smart. It's now been removed.

On her Hunter's Tavern blog, Leslie writes that the Harvard line came from three of the four bios sent by his 1994 Congressional campaign to the nonpartisan political research group. (She posted the letters here.)

The bio brings up old memories, Leslie writes:

Moore's campaign has been accusing his Dem rival, Bev Perdue, of fudging her resume starting in 1991. And honestly, open-enrollment summer school is not what comes to mind when I read "Attended Harvard."
