State Treasurer Richard Moore thinks Rep. Thomas Wright should resign.
In the briefest statement yet on the Wilmington Democrat, a spokesman for Moore said that House Speaker Joe Hackney was right to call for him to step down:

Previously, Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue, Gov. Mike Easley, House Speaker Joe Hackney, state Sen. Julia Boseman, Democratic consultant Gary Pearce, Democratic blogger James Protzman a.k.a. Anglico, the N.C. Public Interest Research Group, the Wilmington Journal, the editorial boards of the Wilmington Star-News and the Charlotte Observer, campaign finance reformer Joe Sinsheimer and the N.C. Republican Party called for Wright's resignation.
