Mayor for life?

Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory said today he'll run for a seventh term this fall.

No other Charlotte mayor has served more than four two-year terms.

"I still have the energy, I have the enthusiasm, I have the experience and I want to see things finished that we started," he told Jim Morrill of The Charlotte Observer.

McCrory, 50, flirted with campaigns for higher office, including governor. Though he says his "total focus" is on his re-election campaign, he hasn't ruled out other offices, even in 2008.

"I've always said keep your options open," he said.

Re: Mayor for life?

That's a little bit of a strange comment considering he's won 6 terms now.

Re: Mayor for life?

The "Boy Mayor" continues to fool the people of Charlotte but he doesn't have another office that he can get elected to. Democrats don't like him and the Right-Wing Republicans don't trust him.
