Harrell for Obama

State Rep. Ty Harrell has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president.

The Raleigh Democrat is the first North Carolina official to endorse the Illinois senator's campaign. He made the announcement after a private meeting with Obama and Democratic leaders this morning, Rob Christensen reports.

"I like his bipartisan approach and his take on things," Harrell said. "We have to work together to get healthy solutions. That is my approach toward campaigning and governing that transcends the partisan bickering that goes on."

Harrell was the Southern finance director for Vermont Gov. Howard Dean's 2004 campaign.

Re: Harrell for Obama

glad ty is using his old Dean/Pelosi connections to benefit a POTUS candidate that shares his ideology

perhaps ty will also earn the adjective of "clean" by joe biden just like obama, especially b/c of the bowties

Re: Harrell for Obama

I think its great that these two are connecting on a regular basis (Obama called Ty after he won his election). They're both ambitious young guys, both represent a new era for political leadership, and clearly have a lot in common.

Re: Harrell for Obama

Harrell worked for Screamin Deanie? That shows ya what yer tolerating here...(delusion)...
